Honestly it just made sense to me with how maning conventions in the game go. breach means less range, higher damage.
Numbers can fluctuate, but the goal is 3 of them can pop a tank with no hardeners up. maybe even just 2 if its militia/doesn't have any hp extenders. |

I suppose you didn't come out of your tank since the first day of 1.7 then. You must have missed the Ambushes with 5 enemy tanks patrolling the entire map, or their excessive number and easiness to use: even newbies can deploy a MLT tank and become a moderate threat for anyone who is not underground or high enough to be OOR of blaster cannons.
AV grenades are useless when hardners are on, not to mention SL where many people spent a lot of SP to reach lvl.5 and even addictional skills. As a final note, tanks are extremely cheap, but to shoot one down you generally need something more than a BASE level loadout.

I think you need to learn how to use your thrusters, since you're obviously trying to drive an Assault Dropship on the ground... But if that's the argument you're going to make, how about we also increase the cost of Railguns, since that 50,000 ISK Sica can happily destroy my 500,000 ISK Dropship in about a second and a half.
With the proposed idea here, the small blast radius would make it primarily an ambush weapon (set up and wait for the tank to roll over, plant it on the hull, etc) though it's use in a minefield would make it exceptionally dangerous. But hey, maybe that would provoke HAV pilots into using infantry for support. Y'know, if you can't deal with PE/RE's on your own, just run with some good infantry... |

Maybe 2k or 2.5 k damage...not 4-8k. I can almost always get one re on the tank and I have incredibly bad luck in fps games...3 k damage would be like having 2 re's on the tank per and you could still carry three. That insures that if you sink all charges on a target you will get 1 kill with them and when partnered with a friend you could get up to three...
Gotta be a some kind of balance to the weapon, even if their designed to be tank busters only. I could use them as claymores as well by attaching them to doors. heavy near about fills a doorway doesnt it?

What's so wrong with 3500 damage? My methana has more HP than that. If tankers are complaining that 3500 damage are going to destroy their tanks then you really can't fit.
Limit should be two active. Difference in tiers is activation time.

How about 2500 damage? The point is that a proto fitted tank can be killed by no more than 3 of these, or one full standard set. |

Idk...My gunlogi runs a complex shield extender on the thing and i think thats almost its entire hp pool. For one explosive it seems a bit excessive. I like the idea but it seems like they would become the exclusive av weapon if they had 3.5+ per charge. Again I can always get one explosive on a tank once i cross into the 20 meter threshold and generally I can get two. The third is the one that I have to have luck or stealth to land. Think about your on encounters with them and how you went about it, then the average number of charges you can get on one when actively trying.
On a side note, dont those make excellent indicators of where the tank is for a little bit on the map?
One more note! Bojo, your sig...Im speccing into pistol ammunition capacity just because of that reason..I run out of ammo way too often lately XD

Tankers right now all solo. It's the reason why scouts with RE's destroy them. This equipment can be countered. Throw some turrets on an HAV and it's practically scout proof.

make it's fitting high enough so its only feable to run 1 of of these on a suit. and give cary limit of 2. that way you can make sure you can kill any tank. hardned or not. and prevent from being placed on lav.s can be placed on teh ground only. and have no varients. |

Step 1: Flip damage profiles of RE with the proximities.
Step 2: Make proximities magnetic homing (like AV nades).
Step 3: Keep the warning beep. by the time the tanker hears them, it is just telling him it is too late.
This makes proximities effective for use against vehicles as intended. This also makes RE less effective vs infantry, but still has a high enough damage output to be very useful.

What is up with everyone using REs nowadays ? I remember being one of few people that actually got a notice of them and used them back in the day of very early beta I was mostly specializing into minmatar tech, which inclued mass drivers (only weapon that I got eye on since first notice) and explosives in most of my fittings. I guess mostly the people that were fans of logistics role skilled into explosives as well. Now it seems very popular, which is fine, makes the gameplay much more entertaining |
