The Minmatar Shotgun should shoot these 
but electrified 
The round should get larger the father away it goes.

Leave making that sort of thing to the Caldari the Minmatar don't have the technological development to make that without it being a poorly crafted ball of Duct tape.
Let em have the standard projectile scatter gun or alloy cannon.

What's the difference between an immobile Minmatar ship and a pile of garbage?

They are good but there definitely are ways to improve them and make them more unique in the field

shot guns have been known to kill people with 800 armour or shields in 1 shot
they were designed for very close combat they do not need improving
if people want them improved why not improve the reload speed or create 2 different forms of shot guns the shotguns you see now
and shotguns that something like a pump action takes longer to fire but does more damage |

Why not bolo rounds? They already exist in real life so why not in Dust? We could always make them explosive bolas but it seems so expected. We should go EM or maybe nuclear, like the SMG.

Should start at 10m per second and slows down as it travels until it eventually stops about 100m away if it does not connect with anything along it's path. 5 seconds after it stops, it explodes over a 10m area, and the farther it goes, the more damage it does.

I was thinking of a Plasma cord, which would be maintained through EM. EM does include Plasma weaponry that is electrified instead of just heated by a hot surface.

Of course we will have a Minmatar Shotgun, we will.have shotguns for all races. Just like we will have Sniper Rifles for all races, pistols for all races, and grenades for every race. Odd weapons like the Forge Gun may not be copied, but I doubt that it won't, I expect to see a similar weapon like the Forge gun for all races as well.
We already have some conformed wwapons, like the Gallante Ion Pistol, Caldari Bolt Pistol, Caldari Magsec SMG and Minmatar Precision Rifle (Sniper Rifle).
The Minmatar Shotgun will arrive eventually.

Sorry, dude but CCP is only talking about 4-5 weapons per damage class: Laser, Rail, Plasma, Projectile, Explosive. The Shotgun is Hybrid(Plasma) so it fits into Gallente.

Then the bolo shotgun could be hybrid too, it is basically the same thing as a Nova Knife blade (which is Caldari). Also the other races are not against using each others technology, the MD for example is rail gun based.

@DeadlyAztec11 that's a unique way of portraying it, I like it but I think it should count separately from a caldari shotgun, maybe a bit like a caldari signature weapon.

I'm laughing at everyone who thinks they understand what CCP is doing. Of course we'll have racial shotguns, just like we have racial assault rifles, just like we'll have racial knives, racial submachine guns and racial sniping rifles. Hell, going by CCP's concept art from Fanfest, we might even have racial grenade launchers. CPP wouldn't let something like the shotgun be limited to just one faction.
