Welcome back bud, but in all fairness, outsmarting a rock is what you did by the sound of it. I'm not one that agrees with the QQing about tank spam as in the main it's fun to go hunting noob tankers, but claiming what you did was skillful with the auld nanohives and grenades trick, basics at that, is like going around saying how great ya are by beating a one legged person in a sprint. In just about every round I played, I managed to get close enough to a tank (using my STD / ADV Minmatar Logi) to drop a nanohive and, if not set everything on fire, managed to blow up tank after tank with standard AV grenades. Standard. *******. Grenades.
No SP in vehicles or any form of AV weaponry. Doesn't even have all of his core skills up to snuff. Still managed to make tanks run away like a bat outta hell, or blow up the ones too stupid to move. Had other people been throwing AV grenades, there'd be a lot more dead tanks than there are now.
I will admit that militia tanks are way too efficient for their price, but good god, you AV'ers had it so good for so long. Is the river of tears being formed from the fact that you have no idea what to do with yourselves now that tanks may require a bit more effort to blow up than sneezing in their general direction? I was basing my earlier posts on what I was reading from other people when I said that a tank should be easily killed by other tanks, but seriously, if a 4.7m logi with standard grenades and some semblance of game knowledge can do it, why the hell are you crying with your proficiency 5 forge? I love how people are actually trying to argue this post. Like I said in another thread, I've dropped 4 tanks so far with Militia Swarms. It is literally as easy as just waiting for their Hardeners to go down.
Lol, you've actually turned yourself into an idiot with your above statement. Just because either you, the OP, others, managed to take out some tanks with cheap gear, is NOT indicative of the general basic skill level of tankers, be they part-time or fulltime. It's absolute stupidity to suggest militia swarms, or basic grenades paired with a nanohive, are effective AV options. Just because ye managed to take out some thumb suckers!!!! Ye lot have played this game long enough to know better.
There are plenty of effective low SP and ISK options for popping tanks, try learning them. |

I'm not sure of Atiim's history, but there are plenty of circumstances where you won't be in a position to call in a tank, but going infantry AV is perfect due to the supply depot beside you. |
