I wouldn't be surprised if all of them did. I see some new players here and there and then NEVER see them again. It's really quite sad actually :( |

I have made new characters on a few occasions, I have even had fun and ahem.... 'interesting' games with them. I always try to strike conversation and squad up with some of the new guys.
I am yet to find one that stayed for more than the first battle. Especially recently the academy matches have been less than a squads worth of people on each team.
CCP you REALLY need to incorporate new players into some sort of militia only match that everyone can play in or something like that. NPE needs work. I think hundreds if not thousands of new players per day are slipping through the cracks. |

We create a new char to try a weapon, go 30-0 in academy.

I use to create alts just so I could have 20-30 KDRs by the time I was out of the academy...

Considering the fact that last time I was there, I legitimately saw four Somas and two Sicas on the enemy team at the same time, I'd say none are going to stay after it. It stops becoming a "scrub thing" to do when it's at that point. It's a "cowardly thing" then.

It wasn't the academy, it was the shock after leaving the academy.
My roommate

My roommate's girlfriend (yeah, she plays fps games)
My girlfriend's friend from the DJ scene (yeah, they're both DJs)
My other friend
The only person to actually keep playing this game after the academy that I knew in person was this random guy that I had met at a rave once who I ended up hanging out with for a few months before I moved. Sadly, he still only has like 500 kills and doesn't play anymore.
