For instance; I set up a squad finder and jumped us into a Domination and it turned out 4 of them were snipers.
Ok so they relay GÇ£intellGÇ¥ and get a kills here and there but when you need to do that push on the objective and go for the hack; those snipers are too far away or are unwilling to get off their sniper perch and come and help. Ok so maybe these 4 snipers I had were just rubbish, but even if they were good snipers getting 50 kills your still useless in my opinion, leaving the hard work for everyone else willing to go into the thick of it.
So the problem here is that nothing ever gets done; no pushing, no hacking, no nothing. Relying intel is all very well but its pretty useless when pretty much everyone runs active scanners and is getting better intell than any sniper could ever give.
Snipers in my mind are useless, annoying and to put it blunt: a bunch of camping pus*yies. I don't mean to sound harsh but do you see where IGÇÖm coming from?

People hate snipers because while the team is winning or losing, the snipers will do nothing to aid their team. There will be a small percent of infantry and the rest are snipers, who are hiding in the hills. While the team is getting hammered, snipers continue to camp in their position.
Meanwhile, there's no intel given over comms. Rarely does a blueberry get a "rescue kill" from snipers. Critical kills such as Null Cannon hacks doesn't happen.
Now this should go without saying, but I'm not talking about ALL snipers. There are very FEW good snipers out there, not many though
To an assault player that is living their own version of "All You Need Is Kill", the majority of em don't respect a sniper for he hasn't done much to help his team.

NO, NO, NO, NO! This is even worse; you're taking more people off the ground, which is less people to try and get a push or hack and because you dont often play the pussyie sniper game you're mostly likely to be even worse than those devotded pussyie snipers and doing even more of a useless job than them!

Theres 9 fools who think they are good.
As far as sniping goes, I'm ok. I have the charged with prof 3 and 3 complex damage mods but I fall under nub sniper because I do it when I CBA but I do close support sniping by swapping the charged for a tac sometimes, tac ar or tac sniper. Like anything in this game though I'm only as good as I can be bothered to be at any given time.
Level 2 forum warrior.
Minmatar and Gallente fw.
I sold my wife and kids to the Amarr for isk, its a valid tactic.

Useless sniper? Some of them ya.
If I'm sniper I spent a lot of my time shooting uplinks my team can't see, killing scouts coming around back or dropping that heavy that's behind a crate recovering even the logi that's repping from cover.
If a sniper's doing his job, and doing it well, you probably wont really notice. |

Two topics here:
Snipers - They are a very part of the Team. But more than two on your side, and you might just be in trouble. But if they are good, Then it's undoubtedly important. I have been saved by snipers on my team in more than one occasion.
Team Killing in FW - This game has it's issues with teamwork as it is. But i've been noticing a lot of people going into FW in groups with the sole purpose of team killing. It's sad, it's just sad.... |

How many times are people going to b*tch and moan that you can't counter a redline sniper? If they can shoot you, you can shoot them. It's that simple.
Now, if you want me to come out of the redline...all I ask in return is that you give some sort of aiming reticule to at least make hip firing possible (while having a rough idea of where my bullet will actually go.)

I hate crappy redline snipers but i dont blame them when theres 400 tanks ruining the game its all gone to **** so fast cant wait for ps4 but in 1.6 as a tanker i was happy
