What would you think if Turret Installations were tougher, say somewhere between a CRU and a depot, but in return were much less nemerous, say 4-5 per map, with much more specific firing lines, so they could only hit you if you go in certain areas of the map, creating a deterrent to tanks and dropships in certain regions rather than "Take 'em out now before they turn"
Just a small wonderment, feel free to detail flaws in what I said or what changes you would make if you could.

I'd be okay with that; locations would need to be consistent across all game modes, though, and far fewer (or maybe current installations in OMS.
I'd need a damage nerf too; they seem to got for proto level damage as is...

Well I'm not familiar with that, how much hits would it take to down a tank?

if you are in an shield tank a rail turret will ruin your day in 4 shots if your hardeners arnt active

Most Gunnlogies can be alpha'd through their shields before they have time to react, making their hardners a non-factor in most cases as far as Railguns are concerned

would never work, I would/am always interupted and in most cases by sucidal DS. if it were to take that long it would be to much but to have active mods avialiable to intalation users would be better to fight off a vehicle, a such case would be you chasing a guy, sure hes/she is feeble but if he/she jumps into an instalation it won`t go down like kill +50 *10 secounds later* +instaltion 100. It could be more like that guy jumped into a railgun or missile turret, sure I`ll win since I don`t have a bad fit but I`ll be definitly wounded, say a complex hardener or enhanced were placed on each turret installation it would make sense for it to be called a vehicle defence, since though it would have to be used and the turret is STD vehicles would win it would be balanced from what I`m thinking due to the fact a side shouldn`t relly on an installation but the team itself.
also to rewind this to the top line, the comment is towaerds the fact that all installtion would be like that unmanned so it would be to hard to fight them (more like farm them) rather then the red team. also note both instances, a ton of HP AI turret with a red guy near it (could or could not use it but is a bigger threat since he could be any one combined with a ton of HP turret OR in my case a guy and a turret thats only good in use, in thatcase it could be an EZ turret and a random guy of diffriacing dangers or a guy using a turret and taking a chunk of your HP before dieing. |

Actually, their placement is pathetic at best. No right-minded commander would ever place their turrets in such odd locations that can result in a hindrance to their team.
