Ok we got this, now all we need is a martyr. Yes this is how serious the "Buff scout" threads are getting.

First you must throw 30 tanks and 30 derpships into the volcano in supplication to the gods of New Eden. Then will rise the chosen scout who will strapped to the Altar of Never Ending Game Balance. Once these rites have been observed the devs will think about including it in 1.9 and then push it back to 2.0.

given the hit detection improvements there is little reason to not really crank up scout speed

I do just fine with My Combat rifle and gallente scout that only costs 4000 iskies. It eats Proto Logi's that stack armor for breakfast... And anyone else who thinks Im gona be an easy kill

If the proto minja was about 1/2 the price I'd definitely use it. As it is now, the ADV minja is the sweet spot for a knifer outfit.
I wish I could only play a flanker, but I really just have the need to be on the front lines. We need more speed, but also, the controls are so sloppy. I slow down for no reason, I crouch for no reason, I have to wrestle to sprint, terrain is sticky and jarring, I get hooked on railings, posts, and corners all the time, I slow down drastically sometimes when I jump into the air- there's no continuance of momentum sometimes that is particularly horrible, we are forced to rotate at a painfully slow speed.
Honestly, I don't know if they even understand how horrible their UI is. It is not fluid and it's obstructing. |

Oh man, I know how this feels. The price of a joyride, I suppose. But hey, at least the prototype scout isn't 94,425 ISK per suit like mine. (Which means I'll only ever use it when the planets align.)
Added note: If Amarr would stop getting raped repeatedly, I'd be gathering suits for a bit cheaper. Can't wait for Gallentean Commandos.

Scouts wouldn't need a buff if server lag wasn't so horrendous and Scouts could Speed tank like they used to.
Anybody else remember the days of stacked Complex KinCatz and getting around the whole map before the red and blue zergs made it back to your first hack?
