So get this. Skirmish match, one of the crater maps (not the one with the bridge or the one that's long, but the wide open one.)

Defending point C. Kill and get killed (got killed a few more times than killed) this ck.0 logi with a duvolle (blast from the past!). After the second time of murdering his protosuit with my STD SCR, the next time he shows up his and his buddies (all the same corp) are all riding around in militia tanks.

So they've got C on lockdown now, and a couple of blueberries spawn in the scaffolding above C on my uplink. Two of the three reds jump out of their tank to hack C, so a grenade + some timely fire from my SCR right before the explosions ensures there's two less reds to worry about. Now it's just the third tank trying to protect the now-pilotless first two.

I jump down off the scaffolding and begin to hack one of the somas. I make sure to move a little while doing it to stay out of the third tank's fire, so he jumps out and tries to kill me. I peg him a few times with my pistol but get only an assist as one of the blueberries nearby gets the kill. We hack all three tanks. Now they're our tanks.

Except, now they're our sh*tfit tanks, as the Soma I hacked and grabbed is fitted with -no joke- A shield booster, an armor hardener, and a cpu upgrade. No idea what the gun was, but I'm hoping that it was some kind of adv/pro as there would be little need for the upgrade otherwise. I would have ran it into the redline but unfortunately we won soon thereafter.

This being New Eden, I made sure to mail the main proto guy about his awful luck (sadly forgot to include a line about the lolfit).

Moral of the story: You can skill into protogear, but that doesn't mean you know how to make a fit.

Yesterday I remoted 27 protos with remotes in one game
And in a other game a guy TOTALY owned my as in a dren assult 5 times when I was in my proto logi.

So what was you point ?

Militia tanks are like toilet paper in the sense that you wipe up **** with them and flush them when you're done since they're so cheap they may as well be free. That was more or less him saying lolDUST because even a horrible fit with a worse pilot is a threat to the entire battlefield.
