While I would really like a respec, I don't know if $100 should be the going price. I too have points spread around to try new items/weapons/suits, and yes I could grind to get more SP. A fresh start is, in my opinion, what's needed for some, to keep the game interesting/fun/competitive.
*Maybe a $25-50 fee that is usable once per account.
*Maybe a skill degenerator of some sorts that cost the same as the passives (cannot be used at the same time as the passive booster).
*Maybe a "memory wipe" of a skill tree for a fee that is usable once per month (we're clones to Pete's sake)
*Maybe, just maybe, a free one will be issued once the game becomes whole and that will be the end of it.
As I have never played EVE, I can't compare the way/ways that SP are earned, and I can see the argument from EVE players and DUST vets who are against the respec (EVE apparently never received one). However, while in the same "universe", this is not EVE. I plan to continue grinding for SP, for I do think that no SP is wasted, it will be relevant at some point, it's just that after a lot of trial and error, and error, and error, I have found the play style that I enjoy the most, it only took me a year and a half, but I'm a slow learner.
To those who knew what they wanted to do from the jump and perfected their craft, I commend you. To those like me, under 15 mil SP that are spread wider than a *****'s legs, a respec might come in handy. That's just my opinion, and if your a *****, I didn't mean to offend |

Ok, BETA might not be the "best" term for the game, how bout unfinished? Where are the 3 suites for each race? Why only 1 heavy suit to date? Why did it take so long to come out with racial rifles for all the races. We, the customers were pigeon-holed in a sense and not given the opportunity to potentially get what we wanted. Say I wanted to be a heavy, but I'm Caldari, the only heavy I can be is Ammar and use weaponry that isn't Ammar. At a minimum, once everything is introduced to the game, a respec is the least they should do. What's going to happen when the medium vehicles are introduced and the vehicle skills have to be reworked yet again......another respec for vehicle points only. |
