I came up with an idea a while ago- Eliminate the redline, but make the MCCs project a special kind of massive shield that only NULL cannons can shoot through (That means no shooting out of it, either) Reds can walk inside the shield, but the MCC will fire upon them.

New idea: MCC contains Merc Launchers! Essentially, instead of the redline, you have a ground base (which is now vulnerable to aggression) and the MCC, but the MCC has Merc Launchers which players can use to fire themselves in rough directions, possibly even just up high, so that they can avoid easy countering.

I like this idea, though it needs some tweaking to counter the potential pinned down issue. Three medium sockets spaced out , and the MCC creates four spawn points. If they are designed for defence, assaulting these should be a challenge, and with four points I don't think an entire team could hold them all with complete efficiency. Can four Reds hold each point from a concerted push out? I know some Qsynced matches this could happen, perhaps five spawn points would be better?
