and my husband is no gamer..he doesnt touch em..this is his opinion on dust word for word ..not that it really matters lols i thought i would share
i think these whiny bitches need to learn to play better and stop
whining and throwing tantrums.

ccp has got to be the only company i have ever seen that compares to the U.S navy in ass backwardsness
coming from someone who has just watched me play and forum warrior.
coming from a non gamer but a military man...also he had this to say about the guns of dust 514

does ccp know how a gun works why does your assault rifle only start kicking at round 20
before the hmg fix he was all wtf is that a precision gattling gun
anyone else have funny things their spouse has said while watching them play dust they'de like to share..ive hada few friends who's spouses are the same way lol

The guns have electro-gravitic stabilization gyros  sci-fi FPS 101. After about a second the capacitors need a second to recharge.

Well, I personally need explanations like that, or I would get really annoyed with things like sway, spread, and recoil at odd intervals.
For everything Dust, my wife just says, "Oh, that's nice." She's not the slightest bit impressed when I tell her I'm a space-billionaire (Eve).

I can totally relate (being somewhat of a gun nut myself).
My first nitpick concerned the heavy machine gun... It's called "heavy machine gun" yet each round does about half or less damage than the assault rifles in dust do.
Nooot exactly how it works in the real world.
Also it would be kind of stupid to use a man-portable gatling gun when you could just as easily bring an M2 Browning Machine gun. Would be infinitely more precise (some muppets in the Vietnam war even used the bloody things as sniper rifles by just attaching a scope and fire semi-auto shots) and probably not overheat as fast as the dust gatling does.
Sadly the empires of new eden would somehow find that an M2 is somehow "beneath their standards" -.- |

The recoil that HMGs have makes no sense. When a weapon is that heavy, it's going to take a LOT to make the muzzle fly that high.

No, the reason why CCP did not include any kick was to disguise the terrible hit detection the game suffers..... the Rail Rifle does however fit in with that you said (sort of)

This thread reminds me why I don't bother with the hassle of keeping a significant other.
As long as I keep a few mistresses/f**k buddies around to vent some primal urges on but otherwise don't have to hang around with I got all the time I want to do whatever I want (playing dust included). :) |
