If large rail gun projectiles had enough of an arc trajectory so that it makes redline rail sniping more of a challenge, which would hopefully draw out some of the rail noobs out of the redline. Long range rail tanking would require a bit more skill wih having to take into account charge up time, slight flight time, and slight arcing flight pattern.
The PC and SL should fit into the Sidearm slot so it's accessible and practical to carry one.

They slowed down the projectile speed. It's now more difficult to hit a moving target, especially at range. Dropships are the hardest to hit, for obvious reasons.

So instead of aiming right at a target, I would need to aim a little above it? How much more skill do you think it takes to do that?
Also it would probably break the lore as these guns are super powerful, and are actually capable of shooting star ships... hurr durr

...despite it being 100% accurate? The reticle is huge but if you stand still and crouch it will pass directly through the middle every time. |

No and here's why. The rail turret is slow rotation without the skills. I'm hoping the Minmatar artillery projectile turret would be the arched traj turret when released. Rail tech is charged round so makes sense that it would hit straight.
Although a tiny bit of arc in its effective range and some range reduction would be nice.

Give it recoil and give it a randomized recentering so it doesn't go back to the exact same position like with the sniper rifle.
Or cut it's range to that of a forge gun. Of course no tanker want's to have to be OUT of the redline to have to snipe across the map, poor babies, so we'll never see that.

The only way red line tanking stops is when CCP make the battle longer and the map bigger. Which CCP will never do until dust 514 is ported to the PS4. |

Actually they're about the same size. 75mm is more than a reasonable estimate on the tank rail bore, and even that small turret can hit for full damage up to 3 kilometers and can ping you up to 6 kilometers. |

But the problem is that it's doable, not the number of those who do it, so the number of those who do it is irrelevant.
If you CQC with it, then it's not really a problem for you, is it? So HTFU and quit whingin over something that, as you said yourself, doesn't really effect you.

Add the same thing to redline snipers then
Problem is tho is that the large railgun is alot more powerful so by the time the shell should arc due to gravity on these maps it would have already hit the target instantly

::gasp:: Agree with this, however it doesn't stop them from sitting just out of the redine (like the north hill @ C on Manus Peak) and doing the exact same thing. It's also obvious that we need a mercy rule in place for redline matches, they are bollocks for both sides. One side gets trashed and the other side is just wandering around hoping the redlined team tries to push so they have something to do. Ending matches like this after a few minutes would get everyone into the next match quicker and save newer and burned out players the hassle of sitting around waiting for these to end.
We also need people to get points in the redline when the enemy holds all objectives.
Apart from that though, there needs to be a timer after you spawn in the redline. If your team holds at least one objective, you can ony score points from in your redline for 30-45 seconds. After that, you are cut off until you respawn.
