I had some great fun on my heavy yesterday in domination.
Was some of the most intense and mental matches i ever played, there be clones coming at me from every direction. Couldn't be done with out my favorite logi bro though!

BUT, if your smart and stay back you will will kill me in no time trying to get close to you.

Don't think the heavy's are OP. If your around a lot of them just spawn one yourself. They are pretty much useless at a distance so just stock up on a rail or combat rifle and pick 'em off.

AA is why you feel it's op. Before the hotfix the HMG had an accuracy rating of 61. When firing it, it felt like using a laser rifle in cqc since the center dot had to be on target 100% of the time to apply the dps ccp gave it on paper. By reducing accuracy down to 38.99 ccp effectively made it so anything in the circle will receive massive amounts of damage at the cost of a reduced optimal of 28 meters post hotfix instead of the 31 pre hotfix.
At cqc the hmg should be king as intended by ccp but if you feel you have an unfair advantage, you can always turn off aa. Balancing a weapon based on it performance with aa turned on is wrong and should never be done.

As a dedicated Heavy from the beta that QUIT the Heavy on my main and now only play as a Heavy on a 6 mil SP alt lemme explain something to you.

In CQC the Heavy is supposed to own everything. Including those pesky scout/shotgun combos. In CQC it's supposed to to be the apex predator.
Since you've obviously never played as a Heavy (evidenced by your whining and crying about the HMG being OP), let me fill you in on a few things.
1) 90% of the maps on this game favor the AR/RR.
2) AV grenades eat LAVs
3) Thale users love seeing heavies on Manus Peak or any of the other wide open maps.
4) Heavies tend to be out of place in Dom unless the letter is in a building.
5) Heavies never escape an orbital
6) Unless you have proto class forges today's tanks can out run your reload
Prior to the WELL PUBLICIZED changes to the Heavy, the Heavy was a dead class. It had one gun and that gun, the HMG sucked. Now it actually works. Should an Advanced Heavy be able to take down Proto gear in CQC? Damn straight.
If you choose to walk into the Heavies prime kill zone wearing the equivalent of a bathrobe and bunny slippers, that's not the Heavy's fault. That's your fault for walking in there. Problem is that after you get a few kills here and there as a Heavy in CQC, guys either quit coming or they grenade spam you and rush you en mass, negating your natural advantage.
Quit whining. You don't have to "HTFU". You just need to understand that the Heavy sucks on most parts of these maps and their AV can't keep up with swarm launchers. But in that small area, that 0-20m...it's where they are supposed to dominate. And finally, they do. |

Until 1.7 I had never ran away from a heavy. Now I find myself doing it all the time to get in a better position. I really enjoy that they're finally what they should have always been. Something CCP finally balanced correctly. Now give them other suits for me to kill. |

They are supposed to be a pain in the ass in CQC, Aim Assist isn't really doing much for us either. What is actually making the difference is that they fixed our aim on HMGs. because previously even though the aim shows that we have this large area we are hitting it was in fact only hitting around the center, now it is actually hitting the entire marked area.
Also getting 30 kills over a few matches, pretty much says you don't know how to use your heavy. I can get that in 2 matches at most in a militia heavy with a basic HMG.

i'm an assault and think the heavys are just perfect now, these thing should be feared and you should gang up to take one down in cqc, i was sick of melting them like buttter with my smg, they should be feared ffs, if you end up in their optimal range they deserve to waste you, wanna kill them, use range, or flank them, backstab them, but they should wreck you if you face them in a frontal assault, working as intended, now if only they could fix scout, i'm skilling into minja and wish i could be feared as the sneaky bastard i'd like to be

"S" should mean "S"
"L" should mean "L"
"H" should mean "H"
CERTAIN WEAPONS SHOULD BE CLASS SPECIFIC (SR - SCT)
"E" should be FILLED to VALIDATE the fitting
and their should be a SCT suit ("S" - 2"E")
some suits should have "S/L" slots
