I went from preparing to stick $100 on DUST to not playing in 1 week

I'll stick it on tomorrow .. Logged on the following day and it was just constant Tank Spam so I again decided to put it off for another week to see what happened .. a week on and it's the same thing .. Yes I could skill into tanks and call 1 in to counter tanks but I don't want to be a Tanker and wont be forced to use something I don't have any skills in .. I have AV but it's ineffective and I don't want to spend every single game chasing tanks down ... this is my biggest problem .. even if I take a Tank out within the 1st minute .. they are so cheap another gets called in .. then another .. then another .. then another .. it's incredibly frustrating .. I've had enough of having to play in a completely different way constantly to how I want to play because of another players choice of role ... so CCP I refuse to spend my time playing DUST chasing after Tanks all game .. I don't want to be forced to be either a Tanker or an AV infantryman .. there are no other roles Having a couple of Tanks on the enemy team is a distraction and it's good to have diversity on the battlefield however when there are so many of them that you can't kill them it goes from a nice distraction to the focal point of the entire game .. I dont want to play World of Tanks So instead of buying Aurum I'm going to buy a new game for my PS4 instead .. maybe 2 I haven't played for a week and tbqh I don't think I'm going to play this game again So I wish you all luck in the future and you have my sympathy if your still playing this game in 2014

The counter to redline rail tanks is a railtank of your own, that gets lucky, is of much higher skill than the red line tanker, and who risks far more by being outside of the redline, where the enemy rail tanker can just roll back and recall, or roll back, then back out and pop your tank. Adding in that swarms and plasma cannons are inadequate at best vs an intelligent pilot, you're left with a single infantry AV option that is reliable, yet you'll often run with people using swarms which only hurts your team, since they can't fire on infantry, and will only be killing terrible tanks. Dropships are great supplemental firepower against tanks, except for the above mentioned rail tank that a DAY ONE player can call into the redline and be immune to basically everything, and entirely deny ALL dropship play on the map outside of flying in circles. Yea, if everyone bails it's best to just hide out in the MCC because you'll usually get >1,000,000 ISK for the match. I wish I could get more of those matches, but instead I get the same thing but all my blues are trying in vain to kill the enemy militia tanks with their advanced fits, while they get slaughtered by tanks and infantry alike. Please guys, just quit, so I can get isk to pay for all the dropships I lose to free sicas so deep in the red line they might as well be on vacation Vids / O7

Yes I could skill into tanks and call 1 in to counter tanks but I don't want to be a Tanker and wont be forced to use something I don't have any skills in .. I have AV but it's ineffective and I don't want to spend every single game chasing tanks down ... this is my biggest problem .. even if I take a Tank out within the 1st minute .. they are so cheap another gets called in .. then another .. then another .. then another .. it's incredibly frustrating .. I've had enough of having to play in a completely different way constantly to how I want to play because of another players choice of role ... so CCP I refuse to spend my time playing DUST chasing after Tanks all game .. I dont want to play World of Tanks So instead of buying Aurum I'm going to buy a new game for my PS4 instead .. maybe 2 I haven't played for a week and tbqh I don't think I'm going to play this game again So I wish you all luck in the future and you have my sympathy if your still playing this game in 2014 I'm with you. I've spent hundreds on this game, and was ready to spend more. But Friday I ordered 6 new games from amazon instead. The more I think about it, it was a very wise decision. I'll get a lot more entertainment for my money. Please give tanks some balance

I was planning to buy AUR before 1.7 but it's made me drop the game in favour of better ones. It made previous problems even worse (esp. PC lag and general stability). And it also appears to be a declaration of war against infantry, from the vehicle-specific respec to the God mode tanks. If I was trying to sabotage the game I would have made 1.7 exactly as it was. Then I would have thought it was too obvious to get past the management, and toned it down a bit. Shame, as there really is something to the concept (that's why I'm still here), but the execution is incompetent beyond belief.
