Okay the topic is misleading... sort of. A wedge exists, i believe, in the wealthy and the middle class of Dust514. Wealthy players are on top of the leader board (isk). Less wealthy exist elsewhere. Top players get paid more in matches, wealthy corps takes more pc and gains more wealth. If we force our youngest and poorest player base into the worst equipment can we expect retention? They will count this game as p2w. The payouts could be better for the bottom 75% of the team. The market open to sell salvage... we need some isk making opportunities that dont require getting ground into hamburger using starter fits or sniping. Are there statistics that show corps like motanai japan, nyan san(sp?)AE income/ wealth vs. Total wealth of dust vs. Their own wealth. I am curious to see a wedge growing. PC mechanics vs reward are a bit broken imo. A corp on top stays on top.
So my request is a way to spread the wealth. Less payout for #1 and more payout for #16 and everthing in between relative to these standards. I don't want easy money... well i do. But the reason is for player retention. Also, AUR payout would spur more AUR purchase. As a guy with sales xp you put the product in the customers hands. This isnt done now. Not to mention bow many people dont buy on account of pride. You would get AUR buyers under the P2W radar... think about it. |

Just one mans opinion. If #15 #16 receive 40-70k and #1 and #2 receives 250k to 350k that is quite a bit lop sided. This isnt capitalism either. There is no open market. This is communist dystopia. Big brother needs to open his wallet. |

It is a bad thing. It doesnt attract a new player base... if i word of mouth sell this game to friends it's like this. "In the first month or two you will be beaten up pretty bad. After that it is a decent game..." that reveals a problem. I seriously cant belive you think AV players and new ppl deserve so little. I do fine in combat. No complaints there. I'm looking out for the new guy. Hardly comparable to eve where there are plenty of oportunities to pve income and enjoy the game. Not comparable at all really. |

There's no PvE!
I've been saying this for months. Dust 514 needs PvE or new players won't be able to get adjusted.

I' m just thinking of all these brand new guys i get into pug squads that don' t know maps, weapons...etc. Lets face it , they are at a disadvantage several ways: resources, sp, equipment, experience vs. Player (when to run vs. Stand your ground or switch weap type) and map knowledge.
Resources, sp and equipment do overlap a bit, but not entirely (ehp, hps, dps skills.) Resources seem the easiest to affect.
I just put one idea out there. Any other ideas are welcome. I think we can at least agree on some of the above disadvantage. Some probably can't be helped. Others can be helped. Which ones and how? |

New Eden is not typically the cuddly kind of socialist utopia where money grows on trees and no one works for it.
Personally, I look at this game as a challenge. The first few months of getting smacked around makes you a better player. Fighting for the Caldari makes you a better player. Learning how to survive without isk also makes you better with lesser gear.
So instead of collecting your food stamps and welfare cheques get out there and fight back.

Pure capitalism? No.. not even close. No diversified market, supply vs. demand, natural resources.... there is very little economic principal in this game at all. Well there is one, spend isk or aur and you will have an advantage. Undeniably true. That cannot be argued. If you need your isk crutch then disregard this thread. |

In fact this quote earned more likes. So you saying "it worked" is a bit overboard.
Its a novel idea, like communism, but in reality the people that work for their gains should expect to be in a better situation than those wanting handouts.
There should be some help for newer players. Its called a frontline suit. There are also options like joining corps like Dust Uni to learn the ropes.

Nice reply. I dont believe you posted a reasonable way to help out new players. You want to take away the isk earned by people who have been around longer/are better at the game. You also stated you want easy money.
PvE and the open player market would help. I have stacks of proto Gal suits I cant wait to get out of my assets. So many of those Gastun weapons too.
Does Universal Bondage do any training of new players or have an academy corp?
I want a tough game because it is more rewarding when you find a niche or something you excel at. Trick is not getting frustrated when you have the odds stacked against you.

No opposing economy...? That is part of capitalism. Players do not affect the market too much.
But that isnt this thread topic. New player experience/ disadvantage/ retention is the intention I doubt i am going to get much support because the ones who agree are playing something else. The try-hards are the typical forum warriors and are likely to overlook this as qq...
I run std, adv and proto. I don't need isk. Some do. If you enjoy a challenge then we can level the playing field. If you are sympathetic with those who earned their advantage, do you think 5%-10% less on a match will hurt? People have been complaining about new player xp and proto stomping since launch... nothing new here. |

Capitalism is an economy controlled by private owners. CCP decides payout and price of goods. Dust is no where near capitalism.
Moving on...? New player experience is a gauntlet. Not a problem here. I'm not new. |
