Tank spammed in a match, made a road trap INSIDE the redline, maddy with ion cannon boosts in to kill more infantry(been at it for a while) explodes. i yank one out and grab my dren swarm launcher and mostly kill a sica before some f-tard with a FOTM suit kills me in 2 bullets. but i got the good tanker with proxies so i yanked another one out anyway.
Unchecked dishonesty can promote the perception that one must cheat to remain competitive.

Also, tankers with 0 sp invested go into what i call 'jeweling' still explode when they hit a full spread of proximity mines. thats another way to tell a real tanker from scrub :D

Well, OP is certainly almost entirely correct, except that tanks weren't really ever used to kill one another that much - they were always primarily kill-farming anti-infantry invulnerable monsters. But still tankers cried that they aren't tough enough, despite even a casual glance at tanker stats vs infantry stats would indicate otherwise to even the slimmest intellect. And they cried so loud and so consistently that CCP thought they may have a point.... This is exactly why forums are a poor guide for game design policy - the gobbiest "contributors" to forums are often the ones who just want "their way" to be some sort of easy mode.
And then 1.7 came along. Wow, just wow...
So I did a quick experiment. I fit a militia tank with a few militia modules and went out to hunt tanks. I couldn't bring myself to sink to the depths of the kill-farming anti-infantry blaster tanks which are so universally popular, so at least I fit it for AV use. I've never used a tank before, and I can't express how much I sucked at it. But despite my ineptitude, I still remained utterly invulnerable, and even with my control-fumbling could easily remove myself at high speed from danger before the ridiculously ineffective AV attacks could really offer any credible threat.

Spoiled Rich Kids..? Funny, I thought the AVers were the rich kids, still crying about not being able to chuck 3 Lai Dais and instagib a 1.7mil tank, repeatedly with no effort.

If you mean Leaderboard stats, sure, we died less, however if you mean HP, Damage, etc, go and look at the swarms, forges and AV grenade's previous damage, sure my tank had 5000 shields, but that meant **** when up against an Assault Player packing Lai Dais. You people wouldn't know "OP" tanks, go back to when Tanks were gods, this is nothing. I've made several posts detailing the issues and yet you're all whining about how it must be just the tanks being OP, no, it's the modules and the fact you can stack them, you can make it a ridiculous fit.
