I, for one, think this is a great idea. I mean, when I'm spreading the Amarr faith, the only thing on my mind is "Oh gee, maybe I should go help those Matari savages who threatened to tear my throat out the other day. Yeah, and since I'm too lazy to do it of my own volition, I want to be forced to fight for the very thing I hate most!". |

So forcing people to fight for factions they don't like and inevitably lose earnt standings is good? Do you even dust...........ever? *facepalm* |

Come up with a good idea to solve the problem next time, not a bad idea. Then maybe you won't receive hell for your suggestions. Here is better idea if you can show me better idea just be silent. I think you mean "can't", not "can".
Also, you want a better idea? Make factional warfare matter. As it is now, factional warfare is just a way for you to actively earn loyalty points to buy factional items. If you don't want those items, there's no reason to do it. |

That all depends on the person, usually teenyboppers want a reward for EVERYTHING, like a dog. The battles are generated on actual planets in eve, each faction has an ideology, all over game just give you usually 2 factions and no reason at all to fight. What's so pointless about it in dust? Its the same as every other game in that respect, would you need an amarrian to actually come and enslave your whole family in real life? Lol My point was that unless you really want faction items, you won't participate in factional warfare. Outside of faction items, there's no reason to do it. None. Nada. Zilch. |

TechMechMeds wrote:Yeah I got your point and addressed it. Wrong, you didn't address it at all.
Factional warfare is quite clearly pointless... for the factions. Sure, you might get "great pleasure" from killing the Amarr, but its still pointless in the end. Your faction doesn't really benefit from your victory, nor does the enemy faction really benefit from your loss. Even if one faction is dominating another in factional warfare, it doesn't matter. There's almost nothing to make you think "my faction is doing poorly, maybe I should pitch in".
And of course, you assumed that I meant we should be given more rewards.
What a pity. I thought you were smarter than that. |
