Lets do the math:
200/rocket * 6 rockets = 1200 per volley. Plus 3 Complex Light Damage Mods, I think the stacking penalty makes it a total of 21% 1200 * 0.21 = 1452 per volley 1452 *12 = 17,424
That's 3x the total HP the Soma had in raw HP.
Oh, plus I threw 3 packed AV grenades on it.
It had one hardener(I'm assuming MLT) and one rep.
Does anybody have any idea how hard it is to get 12 f*cking shots off on a tank and have them all hit, because you OUTPLAYED the tank, and the 15 other enemy infantry?
I'm not even going to get into the games where I put 10-12 rounds of a FG into Militia tanks and couldn't destroy them.
CCP, its no secret that I personally hate every one of you. That's a reason I didn't play against/with you in the Dev Invasion, because I can't stand you being in the game. I can't stand when you respond to any of my threads. I can't stand when you like my posts. I can't stand you. So, this is me talking at you, not with you.
What were you thinking during this buff/nerf? Seriously, what goes through your head? I understand that balance is one thing, but you do things that simply do not make any sense to anyone. With all the things that needed balancing in this game, like Heavies, Scouts, the rest of the racial content, etc. Why did you decide to work on HAVs? What REAL tankers really wanted was sh*t to be fixed. Like rendering and hit detection, and LOCKS for f*ck sake.
It's your game, so you can build it however you'd like. But since we have more experience in FPS than everyone at CCP put together, you'd think we'd have a say, since we stuck it out this long and since you apparently can't get this game off the ground to save your lives. Maybe this thread will get deleted, or you'll try to ban me again like you have so many times to me in the past, because controlling propaganda is all you seem to be good at. But before you fire anymore programmers, please take a look at yourselves and get your act together and your head on straight.
If you're not going to fix tanks and revert them back to 1.6, then consider the following:
1. Increase the price. 2. Lower the capability of MLT HAVs. 3. Lower the vehicle cap in match to 5 total vehicles per side at the same time(including LAVs, HAVs, and DSes). 4. Add more types of vehicles, like actual STD, ADV, and PRO, not just MLT and STD.
While I wont comment on the current balance situation - You would get very frustrated if you ever played eve. There is this notion of tanking. Sustained tank and burst tank VS just having a high hitpoint pool. What is going on right now is that tanks fit for total defence have a higher sustained tank that the damage you can put out with your pathetic swarms.
Put the swarms away unless you are going to team up with others, get a forge gun, man a railgun installation, get a tank etc.. |
