Seriously. Why even advance tactics beyond blob on blob if all you get rewarded with is "YOU HAVE BEEN SCANNED" because some douchenozzle yolospins with the ****** and picks up everything on the entire map, and gets a free tip about any scouts.
Yes. I am raging. Because the piece of equipment in question(scanner) is broken as hell. I sneak around the enemy, and the second I get into my optimal range, "YOU HAVE BEEN SCANNED" and then their entire team turns around and murders me in a millisecond.
If you hear the words "WORTH IT!" look about, something hilarious just happened.

If you use it, and you scan profile is high enough then you blip on enemy radar.
Also, the flux is broken.

Passive scanning was loads of fun in Chromosome- I went around stalking people by scanning in a scout- but it got broken for Uprising when the devs reintroduced active scanners and had to give people a reason to use them at all.
Then, scanning information was restricted from teammates except for active scanners, because the players weren't using them enough for the devs' taste.
It's disappointing because the devs have been obsessed enough with getting players to use them that they've added crutch after crutch to promote them artificially when noone cared in the first place.
It isn't that scanners break the game on their own, but that the game has been broken to accommodate them. |

I actually enjoy getting scanned now lets me know some one is about to enter my HMG thunderdome, which is now a very bad idea

God I love the HMG changes. IT HAS A CONE OF DEATH NOW! and it wrecks even faster. I missed this beast. and now it has a reason to wreck at close-medium-ish range, namely that we now have a ton of medium range+ guns so if you let this thing get close you deserve to die.

RIGHT. This is one bone I always questioned but never bothered to ask.
If people are dampened...shouldn't they not show up what's so ever? If you scan in a direction and you get: "SOME ERROR" you'll realize that there's a scout right in that direction. Even if you circle strafe, you'll realize it's someone who can get the jump on you and so you're prepared...

started running basic dampens stacked it helps increased my K/D is it worth investing the sp in higher lvls because I'm about to get complex dmg mod.
Sometimes I see some bad@ss about to go kick @ss so I shoot them dead & Then shoot them again Because I hate Zombies<_<

you mean the one that still tells them I'm coming? and it even warns them that all my lows are full of non tank modules so I'll drop if they so much as glance in my direction?

It's not like there is a disparity between cost in fitting dampeners against active scanners.
1 equipment slot out of 3/4 for 100 meter radius info. Or: 2 low slots.
Seriously, that's bullshit. And that the 15dB scanner, that costs less to fit than any of the other proto scanners, surpasses each and every attempt that stealth.

I actually think this, they want implenet already one thingie from Blacklight:Retribution. The cloak (renders you invisible) and guess what, there is second thingie in Blacklight:Retribution game, similar thingie like cloak (nothing like that rendering one) but against radar scanning XD
I bet they put it for scout like render-cloak alternative XD
