In my last battle yesterday, I lost I think 3 tanks because I had the wrong mindset. I was prepared for one thing, and got something else entirely. Thankfully, I didn't lose it to AV, but to 3 enemy tanks because as usual, the randoms on my team are absolutely useless when it comes to enemy tanks.
Infantry cries for tank changes, and they don't like them. Tell them to use vehicles, they complain, and use cars anyway

only unlike pre 1.7 i can actually see them now, and so i can either railgun them in the face, or actually tank cover against their shots before they have 3 sets of swarms in the air.
i think the infantry AV problem is that they still think they are invisable....
its quite possable that the reason AV was so powerful pre 1.7 wasnt damage but range and invisability.
i vote for an AV buff for swarms and PLCs, it seems it was the extremem range and invisability was the imbalancing factor, the damage not so much. +ähm nope I have never felt this ways as I nearly never fought from buildings. But there is something wrong If you sneak up behind an unfitted militia Hav (across varoius enemy infantry that can easily kill you) and pump a whole clip of proto SL (with two compley damage mods) into it without killing it. Supplementary damage weapons do.... supplementary damage? outrageous! My Militia Scrambler Pistol should kill any target that gets hit once in the head! rah rah rah! (see the logic path there) Forge guns are meant to be the primary assault variation, and explosives are meant for trap situations. Hold on are you telling me that the SL are Supplementary weapons? Is that why they are called ANTI-VEHICLE because they only assisst anti-vehicle operations? Is that what you are now telling me? You're still angry that you lost your crutch and now aren't the primary means of taking out tanks. Tanks are their own best counter, which is how it should be.

Secondly, invisibility, poor rendering may have been a crutch, for some, but when people like Takio, Spkr spend their time in pub matches litterally charging into AV fire (in the redline) when over half the team is pounding away at you with mlt swarms, forges, locus, flux, av grenades and you can't tell me its not imbalanced!
And you did this in 1.5 for crying out loud! Lock range =/= maximum range
Charging into enemy AV fire, while in the redline. You fail to make sense.
Uh.. MLT swarms... lol... locus grenades are not anti vehicle... flux are next to useless when you're in an armor tank....
These are the people CCP catered to for so long. Someone that thinks all you need are MLT swarms for vehicles. Someone that thinks locus grenades are viable against vehicles.
Fact: I've taken out dropships with AV grenades because they didn't fly well enough.

I dont remember doing that in 1.5 If i did invisible swarms and FG would eat me alive generally Of course you wouldn't remember, it 2as pub stomp like any other, you and spkr literally charged into the redline! You didn't give a flying f'ck about the AV because despite the fact well over half the team was using it, it did almost no damage. And now Proto AV isn't much more effective! Just like these Tanks, AV shouldn't be FORCED to use teamwork! Teamwork should be considerably more efficient and more likely to pull off, Teamwork should be desirable, not a necessity! If you're going to have that attitude, then we shouldn't have to be forced to use teamwork to tank well.
