I can only wish for Dust to move asap to the PS4. I love the controller, the speed of the system, the share function and in general I like the new PS4 system a lot more. I would like to continue playing dust regardless of the problems that it have (to many to list them right now). I would even say that, the PS4 could erase a lot of performance problems. The controller could be used a lot better. The touch pad on the controller works surprisingly well, and I could imagine using this for selecting and switching equipment/weapons. And every owner of a PS4 get a headset, if they going to use it or not, but they will have one.
One critic point regarding the PS4 and not Dust: I don't know how to get the sound out to use my high quality headphones without buying expensive equipment. I was very easy to do it on the PS3.
Please CCP, stop your "laser-focus-nonsense" and continue to develop this game on both systems. Cross-play is nothing new, it's not that hard, and there are only few games on the PS4 right now, you could benefit a lot from this systems.

It has to be wired in the whole time, so you might need a longer cable for comfort depending on the size of the room.
It just functions as a regular wired controller in the end. PS button doesn't work, though. I still keep a regular controller around for that. Aside from that use though... PS4 controller works for all games it seems.

Plug it into the PS3. It has to be a wired connection, but it can be preferable to using the DS3.

Special Planetary Emergency Response Group is a metamorphose. As eve pilot you could have it easy to see the corps and the corp history off all member corps.

By a few weeks ago, actually. Even were the graphics the same, I feel like we'd benefit hugely from the easily accessible grunt the PS4 has on offer.

Hmmm, the PS4 cost 450 with tax, not everyone has that much, including myself, how is Crossplay easy since both run on completely different architecture? Not everyone can just go out and buy one, although It would be nice to have the extra power Im sure. Givw them tilll next year in June, then they may begin to consider it. But not now...

CCP have said that they'd not have too many issues doing it, that it's something they've done before; specifically the running of like four different EVE clients simultaneously on the same server.

Same here for DS2, although I'm holding out on buying the ps4, once I buy it I may just forget about the ps3 entirely. In the mean time free games it is. |

You must have some crazy tax where you live. That aside cross play would not be a problem as it is still on the play station network.
Really the only way to do it properly is to use the same textures and look for both versions, until they are ready to "retire" ps3 compatibility. Then they can crank up the level of detail, to a point that would cripple the ps3. |

In Germany we have a 19% tax, but they are already included in the 400Gé¼.
I understand that not everyone could afford a ps4. I start saving money about 4 years ago. It's not that I'm dirt poor, I just put one Gé¼ or two in a jar from time to time. It was relatively easy to save up. (But heavy to carry it to the bank ;))

Putting a game that's still in development on a brand new console is dumb, you have an expensive beta model, you see how you need to buy something to get high quality sound? Later models most definitely won't need that, its pretty obvious.

The very first PS3 in November 2006 was the Model: CECHAxx It has more USB ports, card readers, more audio out options and could play PS2 games and even scaling them up.
The latest PS3 version released October 2012 was the Model: CECH-40xxC All it has was a bigger HDD (due to rapid falling storage prices), but his console was not even a slid in, it became a top loader and looses downward comparability (playing PS2 games) and Linux-comparability installing you own Linux system on the PS3.) As well as card readers and ports.
The equipment and features very removed step by step, to save more money on the production and later to earn money back on hardware.
You can see some pics here in the German wiki and read in the English wiki if you like.

People keep thinking that Planetside 2 is their savior for shooter, but those people have obviously never played the game.It sounds good on paper, but once you realize how much it's pay to win,and how long it takes to grind to get even the tiniest morsel of anything, then I guess they will realize.
As for Dust, unless they do something radical to the game to attract more players, this game is doomed in the long run. |

I love my CECHAxx with upgraded cooling and larger storage. Cant believe how many people kept buying the "new n better" versions as they were released over the years when in fact they are polished turds compared to the first. While many people fried or 'bricked' their systems from various betas.. dust included.. The original systems held strong, or at least mine did.
funny thing too, when you manage to find one for sale.. it still cost the same as a new ps4 haha |
