stop heavy suits(not including the commando) using weapons designed for the "L" slot in their "H" slot
Most Thales snipers have switched to sentinel, and for a scout shooting a guy 3 times with a shotty just to have him turn around and AR/SCR/ASC/RR/ARR/ACR/CR you to insta death is pathetic.
that is all.
I stick my weiner in two buns and and then give it the gas

Diversity is what this game strides upon.
Want to be a heavy with a sniper? Go for it.
Want to be a yellow cowboy holding a pistol? Go for it.
Want to be a mobster in white with dual SMGs? Go for it.
Want to be a slow moving psycho holding a Laser? Go for it.
There is barely any diversity in this game to begin with, and doing so would effectively cut the thin line that separates this game from a CoD or Halo clone.
As for the whole Heavy problem your having, have you ever thought about jumping over them and shooting them in the head?
Why must vehicle pilots try to ruin DUST 514 for everyone?
Do they really want to go 60/0 that badly?

End of the day there are pathetic bastards sat as far back in the redline as they can go with 1500HP and a Thales, flat out stupid.
Only way I could except heavies with light weapons is giving shotguns 1800 damage per hit a 1m. so many scrubs using sentinel suits with an AR, removes skill on the game, relying on the gun aim for them and the suit surviving for them.

Why would you limit the suit even more than it is now? There's a reason why it has no equipment slots. How about we just limit scouts to Sniper rifles? Or logis to side arms since their role is to support, they don't need an AR.

There was one video a while back that suggested and hinted about a Light version of the Forge Gun.
As for the HMG, Ishukone Assault SMG is already a light version of the HMG, similar to how the SCP is a sidearm version of the SCR.
Plus, with that and a Complex Sidearm Damage Mod, most people in this game could make you look bad

And I hope people didn't love running dual pistols or SMGs, as with the OP's logic we would have to limit Light Weapon Slots to light weapons only.

If heavy units are sniping from the redline, thats a redline issue!
If you can't kill a heavy who isn't looking at you with a shotgun, aim for the head, get a better shotgun or use a scrambler pistol on your snjper hunting fit!
80 +ù 4.5 +ù 3 = 1,080 three shots from a scrambler pistol is 1080
or use re 1500 dmg!

Yes, but have you tried doing that 2 times to take their shield, hoping that the shots are counted, then following it up with 2-3 more. All before their ASR insta kills you.

Not that I disagree with your point, but why then can't my med/light suit carry an HMG? Why can't I be fast and carry a forge?

And yes I have tried it. Works quite well actually.
Just strafe and jump around them. No matter what gun they are using (bar the SMG) they won't be able to turn around in time.

Because only Heavy Dropsuits have the physical capability of carrying a Heavy Weapon. Since they can wield Heavy Weapons it makes sense that they can also hold lighter weapons. I makes no sense for a scout or even a med suit to be running around with the huge mass of metal that is an HMG or Forge Gun.
Just you wait. One day, all will fall to their knees before the fatty overlords.

If you do that you best give me a full respec because rifles just give us more options. I don't agree with the HMG design philosophy of being a close range weapon when heavy machine guns are anything but. I chose to use assault rifles because it gives me the ability to engage enemies that would otherwise out range me at all times.
If you can't hit a fat slow heavy with your own rifle, or come in on him with a shotgun, then I'm not entirely sure what to tell you.

They only have 2 heavy weapons.
Med frames do NOT need another advantage over heavies/scouts, like the one you are trying to give them.

Ironically now that the HMG is better ( i wounldnt say fixed just because we can nevr be too sure about balance) i have seen a lot more heavy suits running around with rail rifles or combat rifles.

I run a Scrambler/SMG on my Templar free fit. Those fatties may just be trying to win their FW match without spending a single ISK.

Because Heavies sacrifice versatility in equipment potential, and even base slots, for massive HP and the ability to carry fuckhueg gunz.

I always find them, either have to risk a nice sniper suit in the open to get em, A dropship and quick kill suit or an OB.
Found one sentinel in the redline once this was his set up: Sentinel suit, Thales, redline, triage hives, ammo hives and a dedicated logi....yes a logi was sat behind him repping. OB took care of that one.
