I'm getting used to playing a FPS with a controller (because the kb/mouse controls are even worse imo since you can't rebind anything) so I find myself pressing L3 more often than I should.
It's just that I don't understand why they would map a game-interrupting menu to L3 + left/right/back when it's already mapped on the D-pad. And without any way to disable it on L3. |

My controller is 6 years old (the one that I actually use daily) and it still works like new in every way, except the battery only lasts a couple of hours.
R.I.P. Pre-1.7 tanks, you will be missed.

Still have mine from 5 years ago. My dog chewed the rubber parts off the analog sticks when he was a puppy, so I replaced them with ones from my old PS2 Controllers. It still works fine, its a bit uncomfortable because the rubber bits don't fit as tightly as I would like them to, but I can live with it. My thoughts exactly! What can they possibly be doing. I'm guessing running away from tanks It's called adulthood. When you're all grown up, it doesn't take much to break plastic. The first God of War made me twist a controller in half like a Tootsie Roll.
Tiger Woods golf, I did the same thing at least 3 times. Its surprisingly easy to do

Valmorgan Aubaris wrote:Is DUST beating the hell out of your PS3 controllers too? Im on my second one in just a couple of months, the left one actually wears out from sprinting and digs into the plastic frame edge around the hole making a groove in the stick that gets all hard to use and grindy feeling. I'm not buying another controller just to play a broke ass game (it is face it, we play more for what it could be then what it is) , I'll try some silicone grease maybe that will help?.
That made me laugh so much after grabbing all my ps3 controllers and seeing the exact same thing on them all, today I couldnt sprint due to the analog stick being pushed out of place lol

I would have had my controller longer but I did this deal at GameStop were you bring in your old systems and games, and it deducts the price off the new ps3. So I brought in my old ps3, [it sounded JUST like a freakin vacuum, it killed my ears], my Wii, [dear god, I was soooo happy to get rid of it] and some games. So instead of paying 300$ for a new ps3, I only paid $83.53 cents. Got Uncharted 3 and Dust code with it. But anyway, I don't usually take out my rage on my controller. That's what the stuff in my room is for.
If you get near the 7+ people I'm repping I'll rip your face off.

Minion Max wrote:Not a problem I have ever had with any of my PS controllers, all versions except PS4 that I do not have yet. I always wear out the R2 and L2 for the Gas and Breaks in Grand Turismo. I did have to change to a new one today for a different problem, Fire(R1) and them he would punch and jump. Funny as could be, not very stealthy for a sniper. While walking he would change guns every step, no problem running. I do believe that he was cloned to many times in 30 days, 229 times, the mental issues are showing.
try using right stick for throttle and brake in gt, dust driving screws me up..lol |

Cass Caul wrote: My original controller broke, I was very sad. The wiring aged or something like that, the common occurrence where you hit L3 and it throws a grenade instead. New controller, though having the same serial number, is lighter and the plastic is smoother texture. I do not like it. I want my old broken controller back, but I took it apart to see if I could fix it. didn't work :( I want to try and just transfer the components from one case to the other but every time I'm around circuit boards I get scarred that I am going to break them.
No need no buy a new controller next time. That's easily fixable. Worked on two of my controllers and several other's around here.
