I fight for the gallente, but every few fights it has me on the caldari side.. but still rewards me for gallente..dafuq up with that lol? |

Tbh in dust this behavior should be encourage by offering LP or standing bonuses for fighting for the losing side if not outright isk payments if planetside was anything to go by after a few heavy swings it should settle down a lot more evenly and the whole mechanic is very fitting with merc mindset of dust

In order for the bads to flock to the easy side they first have to realize that they can change the settings for the faction contracts in the battle finder. Few notice that you can, and since more players are aligning with Gallente and Minmatar then the terribles get dropped into Caldari and Amarr because they have all the faction options checked of when they press the button.
They should make it so that your default selection when you first play the game is no factions, forcing you to actively pick a side to fight for. |

I think we'll get this type of effect once the player market is available. There will be relatively few players with a stockpile of, for example, the specialist weapons that the Amarr and Caldari loyalty stores offer. This should help drive their prices up. Once players that aren't hardcore loyalists see that, I think they'll flock to the side that offers the highest priced gear. |

That's just a known bug with the barge, where it swaps the team lists. You're still on the side you picked if you look on the team screen in-match, it's just a display error. |

Well Won all the Battles for Caldari Last night, again. Would be nice to know if it makes any difference EvE side at all. Funny thing is we managed to win both Amarr battles we ran too. FML how did that happen?! Amarr Blues are worse than Caldari Blues |

It's not easy that's for sure. So far i only had one, may be 2 battles against random blue berries. The rest were all orgnaized squads. They Even brought Orbitals too. It's challenging so it's fun. It's like ringing in a PC with less chance of Lag or framerate issues |

I keep losing my standings blowing up enemy tanks...its become annoying to legitimately have a tank dead to rights and getting banned because your re's kill each other. I claimed 5 last night in less matches then got banned and lost all my standings with caldari...again..

It does make a difference EvE side. When one side or the other in Dust has planetary dominance, it makes it 25% easier for EvE FW pilots on the same side to take over a contested system. It also makes it 25% harder for the opposing side to take over one of your side's systems. It's just not displayed all that well in Dust. It would be nice if they made a sort of mini-map that shows the battlefield and the bit of progress you've made on the battle summary screen at the end instead of just a little bar and a number.
Also, Amarr and Caldari FW is doing so bad in Dust because they're getting ROFLStomped in EvE at the moment (last I heard anyway), not because of the Mercs Dust side are doing anything wrong. It's the nature of the beast and it'll flip around every few months.
Another thing to consider is going to be the markets when they come out. All those Gallente/Minmatar LP items flooding the markets will depress prices on those items compared to the less plentiful Amarr/Caldari items. Once the difference gets big enough, there will be a strong incentive to switch sides (or to characters on those sides) to farm, and that'll have effects not only in the market, but in Dust, and EvE itself. Those will be awesome days =) |
