this **** is so dumb, imma run my explosive LAVs from here on out because thats the only way to destroy tanks anymore... We had 2 assault Forge guns and 4 Prototype Swarm launchers and couldnt kill anyone of those tanks.... Why? because they can move so fast out of range so the Swarms cannot lock on to them, so basically its Forge guns only and they have to get a clean shot without them using their hardeners... Pretty unlikely once your redlined. |

I've happily eaten multiple tanks in single mathes with my Ishy. It's irritating, and not viable ISK-wise, considering it can take a few tries, but hey.
Six proto AVers should have been able to alpha the sh*t out of them one by one.

Put this down to player inability, took us 1 forge gunner, 1 tanker(MLT RAIL) and a logi (to rep and supply forge gunner) to take out 5 tank, If thre were 3 more, 3 more would have died.

and what type of tank were they? because swarms are near useless against shield tanks, due to their decreased efficiency against shields, forges, fluxes, and plasma cannons are your answer to shield tanks.

can tanks carry equipment? no
they can do one thing and tht's killing, so it should be the best at it and it should require more than one to kill a tank.

i just killed 3, count em 3 tanks (2 gunnlogi rails, 1 soma blaster)
with nothing but std packed AV proxes, and REs
tankers learned to survive while AV was OP as all hell, they adapted and now that tanks are actually worth fielding good tankers know how to avoid the simple tactics of stand and shoot AV at it from a fixed position....
its AVs turn to adapt and learn how to actuallly FIGHT a tank rather then just slaughter it...
i can do it with nothing but standard gear.... so why cant you with proto?
i enjoy FIGHTING tanks now, i never enjoyed just slaughtering them
(edit make that 4 another soma down)

So, your AFG guys suck at aiming and SL at timing.
Any descend pilot who see 5 incoming warheads turn on everything he have to survive. You need to spread SL'ers on map so HAV's are always in range of at least 1, and synchronize attack with Forge Guns, if target have fat tang use Breach.
EDIT: and ffs don't act like a goons - focus fire on targets, prioritize them, chose weakest as first to kill.

Most tank drivers right now are ****** drivers with no skill points invested or time invested in tanking. I skilled into the ass forge been blowing up **** left and right...and if I can't kill them I can atleast make them leave for awhile. The swarms definitely need a buff, I feel bad my buddy, he skilled into them prof 3 like one week before 1.7 hit. Poor guy, he's been so pissed about it. |
