i run a variant of both after 1.7 came out. and i have reasons for why the tanks arnt all that OP. a lot of people are getting pissed because the blaster tanks are just destroying infantry lines. get over it, that's their purpose. the best way to deter this is to run a Rail tank. now some might say that a infantry av man could take him down, but that's only if the tankers stupid. it will take around three working with each other to really flip the scales in their favor and that's the way it should be. but the Blaster tank is lacking one thing, real power on the Turret. that's where the Rail tanks come in. they are meant for a large heavy shot that isn't very effective against infantry unless they are a fantastic shot. you don't need much aim to hit a tank. the Blaster tank has no chance against a Rail tank. so the lesson here is to have a strategy against Tanks. if you see a rail tank, you don't have to worry much, just keep moving. with a blaster tank, either form up or call in a Rail tank. that's what i find works best. and the most OP set up i could find for anti armor is a Rail tank and a Swarm launcher pair. you can take out any Tank in under % seconds like that,

Honestly the Missile tanks freak me out more, they actually have much higher burst DPS than rails do. But yes, Rails are exceptionally good at countering enemy vehicles.

in fact a single swarm launcher can still deter a tank from completing its job. all you have to do is get it to back off and you've won that battle

havnt tried the missle tanks yet. what are they best against so far?

Shhhh don't tell the swarmer guys that, they'll start QQing about wasting SP because they can't outright solo kill a tank.

My only problem with Tanks atm is Rail vs Rail, generally it is who can bring the biggest gun wins in that fight and if he is in a good redline position there is nothing you can do about him.

missle tanks are good for killing both armor and shielded vehicles and killing infantry that think taking cover will save them
use fragmented for infantry and accellerated for other vehicles
EDIT: a single burst from any large missles will drop the shields of an average sica

IWS, the only issue with Rails is the red line. It's not about bringing the biggest gun, though it helps, you can break a rail tank easily if it's not in the red line waiting for you to come out of cover.

They're not as good as rails for killing Shield, sorry. Rails do best against shield vehicles, Missiles do best against armor vehicles, both have their drawbacks. Oh and there's only one type of missile, there's no variants.

rails and missiles scare me.................... when thier at range. honestly the ammount of missile and railgun tanks that attempt to fight a blaster from point blank is ostounding. if you want to fight a blaster at 50 or less. good luck. |
