I think its the force behind every shot you fire. Its something minor that you would only see on the last shot need to use to kill another player. The physical impulse is the force that causes the rag doll to fly backwards. In 1.6 if you killed someone, they would go limp and fall down. in 1.7 the rag dolls are literally being thrown around by the weapons we use

for example, if you kill someone with a head shot with a rail rifle, there's a good chance thatyou could get his ragfoll to do a cart wheel.

Think of how the combine react in half life when you shoot them, that may be what ccp added in.

And it has brought back the issues we had with reviving
There was one merc bleeding out and I could not revive him. Another time I was shot and my ragdoll body got blasted 3-4 meters away. I could see as I was bleeding that a friendly logi was running around with a needed in the spot I got killed, unable to revive me. |

I think the Physical Impulse should affect you with every hit (but not enough to flip your character around), not just the kill shot.

So that when being hit, it jars you and makes holding aim harder.

This would increase the player skill required to maintain aim on a target and would increase TTK

This is what people were thinking its was going to be before the 1.7 update dropped but we'll see if it comes later down the pipeline I like what happening now irregardless of the form its in.

No, that would mean that the first hit automatically wins in any fight between two actually competent players.
