I already miss the old tank mechanic if felt more tactical where i can active my module when i need and rely on the ground troop to support me when my modules. Now it seems the everything is being done for us. CCP all you need to do was give us back our ADV and PRO tank. Tanks were underpower because we got STD tanks going against proto AV( of course it going to feel like it weak). But don't make it like it was in chromosome reduce the resistances on the black ops tanks and give them a slight disadvantage( don't ask cus i don't know).
Here are my thought to who ever change the ADS i love the changes, but to who ever change the tanks I can say you just made my favorite alt my least favorite now( now i'm on my ADS alt now and that was my least)
CCP you made Battlefield tanks( even their tanks aren't that fast) if i wanted that i would be playing battlefield right now.
Who agree?

Disagree, if we can slow us down, get rid of the two hardener ability and possibly add webs, we're gonna be in a very nice tactical position, from a gameplay perspective atleast, I love the idea of doing things in "waves of opportunity" it's just not fully fleshed out yet. But I definitely don't wish we ever go back to the old mechanics, it was a pile of ****.

Back on topic, are we playing the same game? Tanking is ******* amazing now. No more SP/fit > skill disparity like it's been, it's accessible to the general public instead of a select few that invest everything, those that do specialize can still be beaten, and aside from lack of racial symmetry and anti-shield AV for infantry, it's about as balanced as it's ever been. Once we get logi, assault, and scout vehicles back, I might get back into piloting/driving at some point. The only people I seem bothered by it are neckbeards that want to spreadsheet people to death.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

Exactly. Good tank drivers used to be hard to find. Tankers that could dodge AV. Who gave credit to those who were able to catch them and credit to those that protected them. Tank drivers that managed to give a substantial advantage on the battle field with a high risk of losses. We used to credit any tank driver that had the guts to show up to PC battle and would even pay him his expenses on his losses. And laugh our ass off on wannabe tankers that showed up with their best gear in public just to be ripped apart because of lack of skill and brains to used a vehicle that costs a fortune.
Now any brainless kid can drive a tank and does not need any squad to back him up, against AV or fear any loss of ISK. Thats why you get so much crap talking wannabe newly emerged tank "experts" who see any value in the changes made in vehicles and AV in 1.7. The development in that regard is tbh quiet disgusting.

TTK is a design choice, actually. Check the Executive Designers interview. |

It shouldn't be tank stamps for everyone, if you want to be an effective tanker you should have to invest the time, SP, and ISK required to do so.
Now any idiot can hop in and dominate virtually free of charge, and it goes entirely against the whole idea of having better gear and a skill tree in the first place

It is great update!!
Now HAVs are faster than the LAVs, Drop ships are almosy invincible. Cannot be locked with the current swarm range. Also they fly faster than the missiles??? We got the ultimate weapon - Combat rifle. one shot kill with extreme range. Looks everyone is changing to CR or RR. anyway I tried the combat without any points on it, the AUR variant and it was already killing machine.
In an Ambush game yestarday there were more tanks than troopers. Is it normal ????.
Everypne is running tank now and there is no tacktical part anymore. I was running tank yestarday as well. The militia one. it is a consumable now not a tank. |

Good infantry can put in work with starter fits, why can't good pilots do the same with MLT tanks? Also, we only have what? 5% of the new vehicle content. Once more modules and higher tier tanks come in, people with more SP will have a bit of a larger advantage. Just don't expect to take on 4 MLT tanks at once.

I don't expect flux to take out a tank, just to make it run away.

maybe they made it simple for more players to get into tanking, now they didnt make it more complicated the more skillpoints invested on tanks, not complicated, complex, and complex stuff gives you many options, so i understand, it fells kind of bland, BUT i saw a tank doing a sideways flip...was kinda cool
