Back when CCP first announced the concept for the new vehicle updates, they stated fairly explicitly the role they wanted vehicles to take. CCP wanted vehicles to be nearly unstoppable while the active modules were in use, and for them to be vulnerable and require a hasty retreat while the modules were on cool-down. CCP accomplished this fairly well, except for the fact that they forgot to consider one major factor: spam. Now while one or two enemy tanks are on cool-down, the others can take their spots in wrecking havoc, leading to a never-ending cycle of invincible tanks.

Infantry Teamwork to take down tanks is unviable, when calling in your own tanks is just better. Sure I can solo bad tankers with RE traps, but the good ones aren't getting caught with that crap.
Seriously give me reasons for Ambush not being 16 tanks v 16 tanks. The only reason to use Infantry is to capture objectives. If I wanted Tank514, I'd just play World of Tanks. |

In Ambush no they don't. In other modes the are just tools needed to win the game. Hell you can have a Infantry unit hop out of a tank to capture objectives, but I wouldn't exactly call that Infantry winning the game. |

Well said.
Limit the number of these "balanced tanks" per side
Lower the speed, but keep the survivability
Keep the nerfed AV
And remove the ability to recall vehicles (or let me recall my 200k isk dropsuit at the press of a button)
Then perhaps balance can be restored and we can get back to shooting eachother with guns instead of hiding from or driving around in an endless stream of cheap, no risk, no SP required tanks. |
