I wanted to share an experience...
Last night a buddy and I were in a 2 man squad. we loaded a match with 6 tanks on the enemy team. My buddy has proto swarms. So, We decided to try something new. Teamwork between av and v... cazy notion, I know. Anyway, he got onto a good vantage point and waited for me to bait the other tankers in. We killed 13+ tanks and I only lost one. Granted they weren't the best tankers out there but cmon, 6 vrs 2...
Maybe this is what ccp wanted, teamwork. Most squads want a good logi for support. Why not add a av and a v to the required squad dynamic?
Personally, I'd rather have an av guy with me than another tanker in my squad anyday. |

But one tanker and one av guy were able to destroy an entire team of tank spammers. If I didn't have my av buddy, I would have been toast.
If any av guys want to team up, I for one am offering the olive branch of teamwork and friendship. Shoot me a igm and we can make some tankers cry. |

this is a good tactic for removing turret installations. Its a must, they are beastly in this build |

I would love to try this tactic out with your proto forge gun. We need to squad up soon. Its been too long. |

Teamwork is good. Teamwork should always beat solo, all else being equal. The game should absolutely reward teamwork.
But it doesn't take any teamwork to call in a Soma and blast infantry squads apart.
I'm sure things will get better as we learn and adapt, but right now Tanks vs AV seems a little like a game of Scissors vs Paper.

the way its set up its hard for AV to defend itself against V. That won't stop us die hard tank slayers tho. I frequently call a sica with two s hardeners. Just to soak up fire while I'm waiting for their hardeners to go of line. AV and V spanks V hard. |

At least until WP for AV damage gets put back in ...... then you will probably find that AVers will get a whole lot friendlier.
No job is worth doing if you don't get paid in the end .
