So I was going around in Gal FW, using my Proto suit because the Federation deserves it.
By the very end of the match, I killed 17 people and died not once, and my team was dominating.
Then they realized they can't win, so they switched to snipers.
ORBITAL ARTILLERY IS SNIPER HEAVEN.
6 deaths, just like that, to a point and shoot gun that you can't retaliate against in this map.
This is broken, if you can't retaliate, the sniper is broken.
I want my money back.
Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Having played Caldari FW where it's me literally in first or second place, and the rest of the team being randoms against two Gal corps at once... I can't blame them...
I start eating death after death after death trying to do ninja breakouts with spawnlinks in weird places just to try and get my useless team out of the redline and it gets old fast... A Sniper Rifle looks pretty attractive after a while...
I don't want to die to it.
It's too easy to use and too rewarding.
You should always be in a position where you can be killed by someone coming up to you and whooping your ass in close range.
If there is no such position, the sniper is broken.

Because I can afford it.
The Caldari were pushing forward, so I had to defend.
Still only captured one point, and my team was about to take it back.

If they can shoot you, most likely you can shoot back and retaliate.

Snipers are not underpowered.
What I was being hit by was NOT a thales, rather an ishukone.
They hit hard with proficiency and damage mods.

If you actually watched the forums enough you would see that I support an HMG buff.

Maps should be designed in a way where infantry can sneak around and 'backstab' the sniper.
Good snipers move around and watch their flanks, so they would be unaffected.

the ONLY excuse for you dieing 6 times to a sniper would be that you are a scout, but that doesn't excuse the other issues.

I have a pretty good chunk of ISK but I'm still reluctant to go proto more than 20-30% of the time...

I'm not complaining about losing proto suits, I am complaining about how BS of a position those snipers had.
I could bring STD suits and I would say the exact same thing - That was bullshit. Why didnt you put a wall between you and the redline snipers? You deserved to die 5 more times.

Too bad I play video games to have fun, and considering how many balance posts are on the forums, I think others are too.
If something isn't fun, it needs to be fixed.
I understand the point of snipers, however, there should be a way to come near them and kill them.

I killed those guys in close combat, they had a chance.
I didn't have a chance, I either let the enemy take over the outpost, or die to sniper fire.
