I'm curious how one goes about getting 1.5k+ wp in a match
it's obv not just run n gun and grab the odd objective so what's the deal here?

Short answer: Equipment usage.
You use uplinks, nanohives, repair tool and whatnot.

I usually solo on the edges of the main fights runnin around hacking objectives, cru's etc when no ones looking.
Guess I should've upped the original to more like the 2.5 and up numbers, mostly just curious if there's some 'farming' technique the neurotics are using.

It's based upon equipment destruction. By this I mean the static turrets, supply depots, and CRUs. You receive over a hundred points for each one's destruction. So that's why you will see guys either pull out a forge gun or a tank at the start of a match to run around and blow up all the neutral turrets and why they hate you when you hack them. If you hack a turret it only provides 50pts to you. But if a tank blows it up instead he gets 100 pts, and each of his gunners also gets points. Multiply this by the dozen or so static turrets and it adds up. Also, since they are in a tank, they will likely come up against other vehicles and blow them up and these are worth more WP thank an infantry dude.
Placing nanohives and uplinks also helps some, but not as much.
The tank can also be lucky enough to find and kill lots of the enemy to gain many WPs there too.
Finally, if the tank driver or one of his gunners is the squad leader, they can just hop out for a couple second, call in an orbital strike, and then collect all the WPs from that too.

Turrets are 100 WP. CRUs/supply depots are 50 WP (same points as hacking them, so might as well hack if you can). You can get plenty of points through uplinks, nanohive resupply, triage/revives, and guardians, along with intel assists if you are in a squad.
In some games I've finished top of the board with 0/0/0. |

cheap logi suit, K-9 uplinks, militia needle, militia assault rifle is about the cheapest way to do it....easy 1500wp even if you're bad....
I care if The Minmatar win...but I'm still just here for the killin'...
