I have not joined in with any discussion as there is too much aggressive passion, and too little fact. But passion is an important thing we should give some ear too. Those people raging. They clearly care about the game. Sometimes they sound just angry, but under that lies a love of DUST.
I use dropships. I am filming lots of games and fits. I will let any non dropship players see what the truth of the build is like for us. I will make Videos to show a balanced review. Many pilots want balance. But we need a week or more to see where faults lie, to test builds and to test those builds again when infantry adjust. We need to run that cycle a few times. Please give us time.
If nothing else I ask people to trust that I will say it like it is with video for you to see it too. Vehicle users are not evil trolls who want to just win and crush and lol.

I have been killed by swarms several times once I let my shields drop and left my actives off. Sure, shield ship with actives on and no chance. Off however is a different story.

You are right Kane, we can escape. But often as we do so we run into another swarm, tank, installation, forge, dropship or plasma cannon even lav turrets. There are many many threats and most pilots are hit by several at once with few areas of the map safe.
Give me time to film, edits and post maps an let me show you the reality of it. the we can discuss a real world version of the interaction of AV and vehicles and come to a balance base on the facts not the emotion.

Kane, you mention the limited range of swarms. Watch my latest video and it will show you that the numbers you see as range do not tell the whole story.
