Then add skills, afterburner, WMD and you can go 5x that.
My industrial Iteron V had a max velocity greater than 500 m/s (1800 km/h).

A MWD, not a WMD. A WMD can't even fire at a target as small as a Rfiter :p

The funny part is that a Rifter doesn't have to encounter wind resistance in space flight; the Soma does though (and quite a lot by the looks of it. It has a blocky non-aerodynamic structure).
Imagine if the Soma was allowed to drive on a moon, or somewhere there isn't an atmosphere. I think the Soma has the potential to be competitive to a Rifter if it had something to drive on.

Great! Now, all the action holo movies are going to put in cheesy scenes on airless moons where the heroes steal a Madrugar and chase the villian's Rifter and shoot it down using a prototype 80 GJ scattered blaster. Oh wait, shoot, I just quoted the plot of the trailer for the reboot of Die Harder: Even More Fast and Furious Over 9000.* Bleep-it, you bleep, please tell me you didn't sell this to Evewood on Gallente Prime.
Ok, sorry about that. I just lost control for a second.
* The over 9000 part comes from the fact that they lost track of all the sequel to the Die Harder: Even More Fast and Furious series, which was a hybrid of two action movies from before humanity colonized through the Eve Gate. |
