Cartoon tanks have entered the game. Just shoot one with a forge gun and you will see a 60 ton tank speed across the map faster than the roadrunner from bugs bunny. Proto Assualt Forge gun nerfed to over 3 second charge time vs. Tank buffed and glitched to running the quarter mile in 3 seconds... Thank you for the K/D drop because once again something is glitched giving someone a huge advantage so the poor players exploit it in every match! But if they're using the MLT injector, you're pretty much SOL and need to wait for a hotfix.
I tried to put a level into Amarr Commando once, but got a server notification saying "Why?"

We had about two squads of AV guys teamed up in a FW match. There were 4 tanks on the enemy side. The only way we were able to destroy any of them was with orbitals. |

Hit a gunnlogi with three av nades and 1.5 burst of a adv swarm with three complex dam mode and it took 8-10% of shields away looooolx it was not using mods (that I could tell) :(

Proto breach forge gun doesn't fare much better. The charge time is the same but with the reduction in damage output of the gun and the increase in all aspects of tanks I've yet to kill one in this build. They retreat out of range after the first shot. |

Every match that I have been in ... in FW has 6 tanks in it . Didn't know this many people used tanks . Where were all of you in 1.6 when I use to drive alone against three tanks . Now one squad has six tanks . Seriously the last game I played the enemy had 6 tanks out . Needless to say the three that my team had well , one was killed and the others stayed in a safe distance . It was like a Tank Demolition Derby .
Sad ... so sad .

Although I think that there are quite a bit of tanks out, I find it alot of fun. You have to spend to be able to counter. The other day there was a team of 4 tanks that I could tell were communicating as they were timing their fire on my dropship and did get me very quickly. I then decided to invest some more isk and called in a tank and took 2 of them out solo by timing my attacks and the third one got me but was so weak that AV took it out in the end. The only one that survived was the beefy one. That game cost me alot of isk, but I had a lot of fun. If others would have spent on tanks, we would have turned the tide I am pretty sure. The only things that I think are really out of wack are
1: the speed of the tanks 2: the recalling without penalty and the supply depot switching from AV to AP 3: the price of the vehicules vs the fact that people can still steal them from you 4: for DShips, I find that the current PG and CPU are still too low to be able to make a decent fit that includes turrets.
Balance wise and survivability wise, I think we are getting close to the truth. I still think vehicules are extremely expensive to use however but perhaps that is a way to prevent overabuse.
Suggestion: Perhaps in a future patch there could be some type of skill or effect that takes into account how many points you have spent on your vehicule tree to influence the price of said vehicules and modules? It is already very expensive SP wise to level into them, why not get some kind of incentive for dedicated drivers by reducing the ISK cost? |

Tanks are out of hand. Good dropships are damn near impossible to take down. 1/2 a squad focused on one tank (of 3) and accomplished nothing. Sure it was a good tank. But to target it you have to at edge of range or yolo suicide it. Either way places the solitary player at a benefit. If you do manage to take one out look forward to seeing it again in about 1a minute as it speed boosts across the map as fast as a standard LAV. Based on this logic heavy suits should have no movement penalty and massive damage output, nice regen and resistance to 80% of the most common damage types. Keep everything the same and let standard weapons damage them more, slow them down, nerf resistance.... in short just please rebalance this. |

My corp specializes in vehicle destruction, and most of us agreed that tanks were a bit too easy to blow up. Either a slight buff to vehicles or a slight nerf to AV could have solved the problem. Instead, they make drastic changes to both, and here we are: tanks popping wheelies and proto AV that can't penetrate a militia armor tank's sheilds. ![Sad](https://forums.dust514.com/Images/Emoticons/ccp_sad.png)

Earlier I was fighting against an entire squad of what looked like Maphia Clan Unit Unicorn. I ran my Sica.
They threw 3 tanks, 2 Orbitals, and 1 doorway littered with Proximity Explosives at me.
I destroyed 2/3 tanks, ate 2 Orbitals (Good thing it was breakfast time), and dodged the PEs while I was heading through the door*. I didn't even get a GG at the end of the match. (I'm in the same chat as the squad leader)
*I just saw an Assault peeking around the corner, not doing anything, and I thought "Well, this looks fishy", and while I was heading through the door, I decided to hug the door frame. I didn't expect Proxys, but I knew that one guy was going around try to blow me up with REs the entire time, so it made it LOOK like I knew what I was doing!
I also kept a Minmatar Logistics locked up inside a building for a while. He went in, figured out I was there, and then realized that every time his head poked out, I shot him. I kept him locked up in there for about 5 full minutes before I let him go. >:)

They retreat out of range after the first shot. I've avoid all av till today because of the forum posts but I was killing tanks fine in my squad with crap swarms, you just need to be organised... Use proxies, REs, your own tanks or any other stratagy and if you work as a team you can keep tanks of the field

I dig the way that tanks can fake one way, then go the other way and flank infantry hiding behind cover. It's their own fault for not wearing rocket shoes. |
