I concur, I didn't even realize it at first, I was wondering what all the atmospheric activity was and then it dawned on me. It was ash and cinders raining down, which is when I noticed the volcano behind the enemy MCC.
I was like wow and then went back to forge sniping (hooray for Sentinel BPOs and Militia Forge Guns, I know I'm just a tourist, don't hate)

My only criticism is that sometimes I think I'm seeing an enemy marker pop up when a red ember appears on screen. It's not a big deal, but it can be annoying.

I love how the embers are so easily mistakable for the enemy, it feels like atmospheric conditions are actually affecting me in my fight, and the "mood" is becoming a real component of a fight.
(one would assume that much ash and ember in the air would make it impossible terrain to fight in for people without specialized suits like the dropsuit. |

The match has been declared a draw on account of the battlefield being engulfed in a pyroclastic flow.
