Alright, this is actually a legitimate question: Am I mistaken for thinking that ferroscale plates reduce movement penalty? I know that it was never meant to be this way, but I was under the impression that the formula used to determine speed penalty made it so more plates=less penalty.
Well, if I am not mistaken, then this was fixed. Ferroscale and Reactive plates no longer reduce speed penalties. The amount of speed gained for this bug was never huge, maybe just .2m/s, but still, I looked over the notes again and I didn't see it as a bug fix.

Ferroscales never had a speed penalty to begin with. I'm not sure about reactive plates, I've never used them.

Ferroscale was suppose to have no movement penalty but a bug gave you a negligible amount of speed boost. Reactive has always reduced speed. |

No, ferroscales never had penalty, but what I was asking is that by equipping them, you would reduce the penalty given to you by a different plate, like a basic. I saw someone post the formula once, and it made sense when I saw it, but I have since forgotten it.

Ferroscales DON'T have a speed penalty. Not at the basic or enhanced tier anyways. |

Not a nerf, a bug fix. It changed the order in which stacking penalties were applied somehow.
Guess I'm taking the ferroscale off my suits, then! |

It is a bug fix that inadvertently nerfed armor.

Doesn't matter anyways, both armor and shields were nerfed then.
Madness is the emergency exit. You can just step outside, and close the door on all those dreadful things that happened.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just that it is happening and there was no word in the patch notes about fixing it.

It was some crazy weird logic that adding more armor actually would speed you up. Makes sense that it would go. Several things did not make any notes it seems like sticky explosives.

It would be nice to hear from others if they noticed it as well. I only use Basic Reactive and no other armour mods so I never got the boost.
