Alright, this is actually a legitimate question: Am I mistaken for thinking that ferroscale plates reduce movement penalty? I know that it was never meant to be this way, but I was under the impression that the formula used to determine speed penalty made it so more plates=less penalty.

Well, if I am not mistaken, then this was fixed. Ferroscale and Reactive plates no longer reduce speed penalties. The amount of speed gained for this bug was never huge, maybe just .2m/s, but still, I looked over the notes again and I didn't see it as a bug fix.

No, ferroscales never had penalty, but what I was asking is that by equipping them, you would reduce the penalty given to you by a different plate, like a basic. I saw someone post the formula once, and it made sense when I saw it, but I have since forgotten it.

Is this then not a nerf but a bug fix?
It is a bug fix that inadvertently nerfed armor.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing, just that it is happening and there was no word in the patch notes about fixing it.
