Didn't the CPM make the argument for a full respec with "Yes it lets players in vehicles fix their skills, but it doesn't allow people who realized right away that vehicles were broken an opportunity to enter into vehicles."
I haven't really been around much the past month, but I've heard some people in game talking about this.

FYI, the reason I state we should be afraid is because of RESPEC. Let me explain,
This surprise cannot be anything content related, as they would of mentioned that in the patch notes. It also wouldn't be something event related, as they already detailed the December events. The only thing that warrants the title of "surprise" that fits the bill is a respec. Of course, now everyone is going to get their hopes up only to realize it's nothing more than FoxFour receiving an early Christmas present from his mother. Hint: Its a pair of socks.

How a full re-specialization would make my day. All those points spent inefficiently. Or on weapons I don't use anymore.
How I miss the Flaylock. You were the reason I didn't use a Logistics suit to snipe in. Now you are no longer a dropship deterrent. You have lost all use to me. I did not cry when your range and damage was reduced, for it was a good balance. But I want those useless points back, now that dropships just completely ignore your projectiles.
Oh Plasma Cannon. You were so fun. Your parabolic flight pattern was great, despite the limited nature of you clip size, rate of fire, and reload speed, you still had versatility in that arc. Now you are just awkward.
Mass Driver, you are the noob tube. High Damage, High radius, low RoF, low ammo. Low personal skill required. I love the grenade launcher is so many games, I like this one too. But I have too many specialist weapons already. We may meet up once more, in a few months.
Laser Rifle. You are so very powerful as a Viziam, but the ELM is balanced and the standard is weak. It was nice to get the skill bonus on my Templar Laser Rifle, but you're not coming back for a while either.
Cal-Logi. I didn't skill into you until after the Cal-Logi skill/CPU change. I don't regret it, but I like the Gal-Logi better. 5 damage mods almost makes the prototype sniper rifles a viable weapon, almost.
amarr logi, gallente assault, caldari assault, I put points into you because I have BPOs that could use your skill bonus.
Vehicles. My corp would rather have MLT vehicles for transport than my Myron or Saga with all the fittings I put on them.
Well, one part is getting changed for sure. but I really want a full respec. you asses for getting my hopes up, curse you!

The assets we're promised just don't add up to 2.4GB, for that they would need to do something on the level of a graphics update on a large number of assets. Just changing the code, opening up more districts, interface changes, etc, don't take up much space.
Considering they're introducing a new volcanic backdrop / mood, perhaps it is a new 5x5km map. |

They might be adding the code for the new Caldari outpost which was removed from 1.7 during testing. Then only a smaller patch is needed in 1.8 to make it available, just guessing. |
