PEW JACKSON wrote:Could you show me the method you used (for reference)? Thank you for the speedy reply though Stacking penalties can be viewed here. Further more, modules are compounded together. The first module takes on 100% the value, so 10% bonus. The second module takes on a 86.9% of the value, so 8.69% bonus. The third module takes on 57.1% of the module, so 5.71% bonus.
1.10 * 1.0869 * 1.0571 = 1.264 roughly.
Thus, you are getting a 26.4% bonus.

http://dust514.wikia.com/wiki/Stacking_Penalty
Stacking math goes as follows: 10%*(1.0) + 10%*(.87) + 10%*(.57) = 24.4%, from the math that I used with the stacking penalty.
However, CCP somehow has 26.4% with 3 modules on the sheet with 10% modifiers as an exception, which I have no reason as to why or how they got that number (and furthermore, why they gave it such an exception.
Regardless, by my method or by CCP's method with just 10% added modules being stacked, you will see between 24.4 and 26.4 percent (24.4 being worst case scenario).

For a mod with a 10% bonus, such as the damage mod, applyed to the damage stat of the std AR, the equation would be as follows:
(Includes stacking penalties to the fifth mod)
34.00(1.10) GÇó (1 + (.896GÇó.10) GÇó (1 + (.571GÇó.10) GÇó (1 + (.283GÇó.10) GÇó (1 + (.106GÇó.10) = x
Stacking penalties:
1st mod: 100.0% effectiveness 2nd mod: 86.9% effectiveness 3rd mod: 57.1% effectiveness 4th mod: 28.3% effectiveness-á 5th mod: 10.6% effectiveness

All right so I have a grasp of the stacking penalties for the Complex dmg mods.
How does the 26.4% value stack with 15% from proficiency? Is it simply added onto the 26.4? |

Prof is calculated first then the new damage value is applied to the equation I gave above.

It won't be though, since you have to take into account the damage profile of the gun and if you are shooting at the head/body.
