As some of you may, or may not know, I have a very strong stance against protostomping, because it is ruining the game. Many would argue the game is ruined already; but are we adding to it? Protostomping is simply pathetic, wrong, and sad.
But, I realized that you're not going to change the mind's of the short sighted people. You can try to talk with Radar and Kujo and they simply don't care about what's going on. They want the game to die.
Lately, I've started using Proto more often as well. Because I'm simply sick and tired of going into match, after match, and being "outplayed" by gear instead of with actual skill. I'm tired of shooting a Gk.0 down to 30 armor with my starter fit only to die to his Duvolle. I outplayed him, but his gear crutched him to a victory.
So, now I'm pulling out the proto and fighting back, and guess what... Mr. Gk.0 and everyone like him gets DESTROYED by me. These players aren't so good when the person they are fighting against can actually match their HP and DPS. Then they just resort to chucking Core grenades because they realize they SUCK. I'm tired of having to try against these no talent scrubs, I'm going to be lazy just like you: except my B game beats your A game every time.
Sure, I always took pride in killing the blacksuits with my cheap sh*t, but I don't want to kill them, I want to humiliate them. I want to kill them 10-20x in a match. I want them to back out of the match. I want them to run away like the b*tches they are. I want them to ask their CEO for ISK to pay for restocking after what I did to them.
So, all you wannabe protostompers out there. The ones who actually thought they had skill, you're time is up. I'm dropping consistent 30-40 kill games on you match after match after match after match after match... until I see your name in the upper-right corner saying you left battle to protect your ego... and come FW FF... you will not catch a breather by lucking out and being on my team. |

Why not use a fit that does 100+ damage per shot? Why should these scrubs even deserve a chance? Now they know how it feels to die instantly like they are the ones in Starter Fits...
You should see the hatemail I'm getting. Blacksuit Duvolle users telling me I'm the scrub for using an Imperial? Hypocrites much? |

Same as if you were using a flaylock pre-nerf.
Seen too many 50+ games from flaylocks and starting to see very similar ScR performances now as well.
I don't want acknowledgement. I could care less. I do very well with my SCR. I can get 40 kill games on a very, very normal basis with it. I have found that 50+ kills in DUST 514 has to factor in circumstances out of your control.
Why is the SCR being a decent weapon a bad thing? Finally the AR has something to compete with it, and with the installment of the Combat and Rail Rifle for 1.7 there will be more worthwhile weapons to use in this game. Now each race will finally have a variant they can use. Hopefully the era of AR514 will come to an end. Everything that could beat the AR was nerfed into the ground, but now we have choices.
The Duvolle is still better than the ASCR. But I think the SCR is better than the TacAR, only because the TacAR was unjustifiably nerfed. The gun was fine, it was just the cheaters that exploited it.
Now this is where I mention that you are a Nyain San and dismiss anything you have to say --right, or wrong-- simply based 100% on your corp affiliation... sorry, but thems the rules. |

Don't be so sure. If the Combat and Rail Rifle weren't coming out tomorrow, then yes the SCR would get nerfed. But now, the SCR and AR have answer weapons and balance. Before it was all AR, now the SCR is starting to rise up and hopefully the RR and CR will do the same. The killfeed will have more variety in it and the gameplay and tactics will too. |

Problem is, plenty are still approaching this like BF4 or COD. In both of those MP games, teamwork isn't a real big factor in TDM like it is in Dust 514. You can go ape **** and rescue your team from a slaughter. In Dust, the game laughs at you because you're the only guy at the top with 20 plus kills but the rest of your team suffered and you lost.
So you want to end protostomp? Promote teamwork. Until mercenaries understand that working together is better instead of not working together because you just work against each other, bottom line, then these protostomps will continue to flourish.
If you wanna go proto, go proto. I will see you in my milita fit in ambush. And I welcome the challenge.
That's simply not true. I promise that a team of starter fits can't beat 16 individual protosuits. When I'm in my Proto (or even Standard gear now because my core skills are maxed out) starter fits just basically tickle me and let me know where they are for me to kill them.
I have 3-4x the HP, and 3-4x the DPS...
I honestly connot remember the last time I was beat by a starter fit suit in a 1v1, except for lag spikes maybe. A starter can shoot me in the back of the head, and I have plenty of HP to turn around and kill him before he realized what happened. When using proto against starter fits, it's like shooting fish in a bucket. |
