It won't stop good players from being good. It will stop everyone else from moving to a suit that gives better assault advantages than an assault suit in order to run an assault class. THAT is the idea, THAT is what we are trying to fix. Not to keep logi's from killing efficiently, but to make them less suitable to the slayer role than the assault suit which is intended to be for the slayer role. If you can slay well in a suit geared more towards support than towards killing, more power to you. But the support suit should not be the go to suit for slayers as well.

Reducing module slots and PG/CPU while giving a fitting bonus for equipment to logistic suits would go a long way towards accomplishing this.

It wouldn't though, by that logic then assaults shouldnt even get an equipment slot as this would more define their role., then both roles are more clearly defined. And as for assaults getting a second equipment slot, that's absurd, that would make logis less useful and they'd all be stacking damage mods because assaults would be self sufficient. Seriously stop talking about defining the logis role then suggesting bringing more variety to assaults, its ridiculous. Level 1 forum warrior. Minmatar and Gallente fw.
