About a couple months ago I got accused of cheating right here in this very forum. Some Minmatar guy was convinced that I use a modded controller. That was the only time I've been accused of cheating

I'm really curious what popular belief is and what big name players have to say. I feel insulted when accused of cheating. I know i should take it as a compliment but ugh. I just play this game ALL THE TIME. I probably know what you are doing before you know what you are doing...

I get accused about once a day. And you'll always get accused by someone who scored less than you.
Also, I know plenty of AE boys that simply cheat.

But usually it's not cheating that people are really trying to accuse you of. Its the game f*cking up and f*cking over the guy on the other end of the connection. Best connection ALWAYS wins in FPS, no matter what. So when people accuse you of cheating, it's not that you were so good they were frustrated at you, they were mad at the game's bullsh*t and took it out on you.

99% of the rage that happens in this game is CCP's fault, and they deserve it. This game is a failure and everyone knows it has a finite life cycle. We're just riding the wave until it breaks on the shore.


But today I got(we) got accused of using a spawn glitch because we "game out of nowhere" the entire game. I don't know if there is a "spawn glitch" in Skirmish, but we weren't using any glitches. And I don't think the guy was referring to putting uplinks in Null Cannons (which need to be fixed CCP), besides we don't do that anyways.
Our corp has the best Logi core in the game, simple fact. We come from everywhere and anywhere because they know how to put their uplinks out to be most effective.

This was an extreme case, but we make the same mistake all the time. We see a sloppily-parked car and we think "what a terrible driver," not "he must have been in a real hurry." Someone keeps bumping into you at a concert and you think "what a jerk," not "poor guy, people must keep bumping into him." A policeman beats up a protestor and we think "what an awful person," not "what terrible training." The mistake is so common that in 1977 Lee Ross decided to name it the "fundamental attribution error": we attribute people's behavior to their personality, not their situation.

Charges: In a match Saturday night, one player dropped 7 orbitals in one match. It requires 2500 points to get an orbital. That's 17,500 war points to power 7 orbitals. We sat back and counted them while the blueberries got murdered. Upon the ending of the match, the player his squad only has 10,573 warpoints between the 6 of them. That means each one had around 1700 and change.

Also, this player was able to stand in one spot and kill anything that got close to him. He magically deflected a forge gun attack, 2 tank missle attacks, a remote explosive charge and at least 4 of us (The Neutral Zone) opening fire on him in CQC and he killed us all before he took a bit of damage.

On the scoreboard? 44/0. I don't know how that is possible....but he wasn't taking any damage. I suspect fowl play because the math and logic of that just doesn't add up. I see that crap all the time with "What the French" as a corp. Any time we enter a match with them, its glitchy as hell and raspberries that aren't even part of What the French are lagged to hell and back. You will start to shoot them and by the time you circle around them and kill them, they're still shooting you in the doorway where you were like 3-5 seconds ago.

On Wednesday, its hell to play the game because all of the cheaters are out in full force getting their BONUS SP. By Saturday they have all their SP and they're gone. Sunday - Tuesday is the time to play.

We always have matches pretty evenly matched and we see ZERO evidence of cheating until we run into ANY of the members from those 3 groups. Even if the match has ONE player from there...the matches go nuts. It never fails.

Their players disappear and reappear like 10 feet away and all kinds of stuff. Some of them are able to stand totally still and there's a new trick where they can hide INSIDE the null cannons and when you try to hack it, they blow you up with remote explosives. They drop nano's, droplinks and remote explosives in there so you can't hack it. Flux grenades, normal grenades, remote explosives and orbitals don't kill them.

Everytime What The French, Synergy Gaming or WarRavens are in a match....that stuff happens. So yeah...I never message them and accuse them because I know it and they know it.

Honestly? There is a lot of lag switching and modded controller users out there.

Some people even using modded keyboard and mouse and I've begun to notice the trends of cheating.

So far in my estimation (being on both winning sides and losing sides) there are 3 specific corporations who everytime I encounter, I see lag glitches and proof of modded controllers.

I would first like to explain to you that gaining over 2000 WP per match is not impossible, in fact as a logi I am expected to break 1500 every match. If you can break 2k WP then that is a testament to your skill and not evidence of cheating. Personally I have experience in playing with What the French, both as enemies and allies (they are allies with Necr0). I have found that they do what they do because they are very skilled, not because of cheating. I would hope that you take this information and try to prove your statement before making a false claim.

The higher skilled players of Necr0 can achieve this as well, and we do not cheat, we play like everyone else plays, this is why I can confirm that What the French are very skilled, in fact subtlety more skilled than we are (not to say that we are worse, but we are getting there.
