Giving red line railgun tanks an option to be immortal is pretty lame. Can you increase the time it takes to recall, make it so you can't recall under fire, or make it so that an RDV comes and picks it up?
Kthxby

Message from Godin: I got a perfect idea that will solve this issue, goes along with These ideas, and also fits into Wolfman's plan for active modules:
When you want to recall, it pulls in a RDV, it picks the vehicle up, and takes it away. Once the vehicle is gone, that exact fit can't be called in until it has cooled down all of its active modules. During this time, it won't also get any repairers, and only after the modules have got out of cooldown does it start the shield and armor repair. It'll rep the shields at whatever the vehicle does it at, and it'll rep the armor at either 100 or whatever the local rep can do (if the local rep is higher than 100 HP/s).
That's good enough for you? |

Or you know, make it so when you call the HAV again it'll have the same exact HP it had when it left. I mean seriously, what company would take self inflicted damaged goods back and replace them with brand spanking new off the assembly line vehicle? |

Requiring an RDV to come in and physically pick up the Vehicle is the only nerf I really think the entire mechanic needs.

You mean what company would allow me to use 1 of the 5 other non-damaged vehicles I'd bought before the round began with no cost to them?

In b4 tankers accusing OP of sucking at EZ mode AV.
You should just flat out not be able to recall a damaged vehicle. Maybe not make it to entirely undamaged but at least 50% total hp (not just armor because that favours shield tanks).

What a bad, can't you use your ez mode AV and kill them instead of sucking so bad?
On a serious note, yes balance needs to be found, but things like being unable to recall a damaged vehicle wouldn't work, it'd have to be a certain threshold, also timers have to be corrected, you can call in a vehicle and then recall it immediately, but you cannot recall a vehicle and then call a new one in, meaning I just call a fresh vehicle in first and then recall my damaged one.

Recall only from the war zone. Only can hide in redzone.
Or recall anywhere except if you have got WP from attacking from the red zone into the war zone. So you can repair or help out or spot. But a red zone sniping rail tank can't withdraw ... Not that its in much danger.

Not that its in much danger. There are other better fixes to redline camping (whether tank or sniper), such as no WP in the red zone.
Vehicle recall is less to do with the red zone problems and more to do with people using it to save damaged vehicles from being lost. The whole point of recall was so that people wouldn't be stuck in their vehicle all game if they decided they didn't want to drive/fly around any more - it shouldn't be able to be used as an emergency save button.

That situation actually favors armor tanks. Armor tanks often hit halfarmor and get it repaired while under fire.
Shield tanks can't rep their armor without jumping out and using a repair too so it would be much much more dangerous for shield tanks.

As a longtime HAV driver I must say; recall makes no sense, those are BPCs.
Also getting back BPCs for the equipment you're wearing at end of match or when using supply depots make no sense. CCP do you not lore? |
