If you can aim and manage a head shot, they're way better than SMGs.

If you're like me and prefer to pull the trigger, empty your clip, and hope like crazy to have killed someone by the time you're done, the SMG is the way to go.

Good against anything that isn't a gallente or heavy. Armor is a pain in the ass unless you consistently land headshots. SMGs are better against teams with compositions made mostly of armor tankers.

Scrambler pistols are like scrambler rifles: if you're good at landing headshots and like short fights, it's good for you. Personally, I like the SMG because I can outgun most AR users with my Toxin SMG.

The standard Breach Scrambler Pistol does 128 damage without a head shot.

Nobody's mentioned "450% head shot bonus" yet. I'm so disapointed. What else do you need to know?

TT3 and IA5 are the best adv versions. Not much cause to use the proto varients unless you main them.

Many are discouraged by the low effectiveness of the early models, but their power increases drastically as they are skilled up. A Carthum Assault Scrambler Pistol has abominable DPS.

Not very many people use these, everyone seems to like the SMG but I prefer these over them as they provide some seriously quick damage. Just keep them as your secondary but run them like a main. I run these on a scout with an assault rifle. I mainly hip fire at people unloading my pistol quick and then switch to the AR to finish off what's left of their health. You can use the same tactic with an SMG instead of an AR but I feel the rife works better as it has more range not forcing me to have to work to get real close to the enemy.

I recently made a uplink hacker who could only use a single bpo ScP and I was still dropping people pretty fast.. it was disheartening considering how long I have been using TT-3's, the difference is not that big when you score headshots.

With a decant aim and the assult SP you can deal more damage... with out the headshot bonus.

Ya the 450% headshot damage is nice but is unreliable against a smart opponent. If they charge straight at you then they are easy to drop but if they strafe it's much more difficult.

Still the SP is extremely great at spike damage and if you're facing a shield tanker it's really among the best weapons. Against an armor tanker it's much harder because you are very likely to run out of ammo unless you are Minnie Assault.

If your facing a armor tankers, especially at higher levels, the SMG probably is your best bet but don't doubt the SP.

I walked around a corner with a breach scrambler pistol once, I fired three rounds and got 3 headshots that 100%->0%'d 3 people. I died to the remaining two people. It still felt really, really good.
