There was a series of widely rumored ninja nerfs so perhaps it really was an aimbot that first week, but it's not now. People are just using that as an excuse for getting killed more often and/or are confusing it with hit detection. I've played several games where AA was far more obvious. Now imagine that BF4's aiming without aim assist is MUCH more accurate than Dust 514 WITH aim assist. That says something. Shield regeneration bonus for Gallente Assault is about as useful as Sharpshooter for Nova Knives.

Because the las few games I was trying to figure out if the person who had left their mic on all game was fapping or firing. Feathering the trigger succinctly covers both scenarios... Turrent - the sound a tankers pants makes when he finds out the four swarm militia doing squats around him aren't AFK.

It is what it is. Someone posted video proof of the exploit and the devs can't even tell if it's an exploit or not. When you have 2m SP in mass driver but can get more kills with an Exile using the above method, what would you rather do? Yeah, I'm a veteran who has left it on and can honestly not tell the difference between on and off. I use the Laser Rifle.

Whether or not it actually helps is another story, but it makes aiming smooth especially when trying to track somebody running perpendicular to your sights.

As it stands the auto aim or aim assist is all about where the reticle is, and I don't think anyone using MD would want their crosshairs either pulled towards a target, or getting sticky around a target as you're trying to do the usual MD lop shot. Even in CQB it wouldn't help to get direct hits on anything other than heavies due to the round being slow moving, and splash wouldn't be less effective due to the game trying to help you hit COM when you want to hit the ground/wall. Sorry to burst your bubble Edit: OP I run HMG mainly and switch assist on and off with no really noticeable difference. In CQB now and again it interrupts my tracking an enemy when another enemy runs in front. It has definitely been toned down though in a nicely done ninja style, with CCP keeping a good poker face through it all

Use the charge rifle and test it your self just don't shoot at people, you'll see it.They should of brought back the friction from beta which worked and no one complained but not added in the auto aim...

Biggest problem is the group thing where you aim at one person, but it drags to another person as he just passes by. Will turn it off soon since my aim is pretty bad now and needs training.

And if anyone thinks KBM on this build is even remotely an advantage versus DS3 -- they've not used KBM, or I don't think they are being objective. That said, the AA on Dust is fairly weak, comparatively speaking.
