So, my Ishukone FG in 1.7 will not kill a fully tanked Heavy in 1 shot, but a Duvolle will still dump out a clip faster than I can charge 1 shot to take out a Full HP Heavy with rounds to spare. I know Vehicle users are just overflowing with excitement now because they will be able to run nearly unchecked in 1.7 because of the Massive Nerf Bat Beatdown AV received. The AR's purpose is to do much less damage per shot, but to have a much higher rate of fire. Damage Per Second is a convenient metric for sustained fire situations, but for things like the FG in an infantry battle it is essentially meaningless. RF Gyro: 12.5% damage bonus; 10.5% rate of fire bonus

With two damage mods and no proficiency it should be enough. 1500 x 1.10 x 1.087 -> 1793 damage Combined: 1500 x 1.10 x 1.087 x 1.15 -> 2062. It's the lower versions I feel bad for.

That's all fine and dandy, except for the fact that 1 guy with a Duvolle could gun you down before you can charge up. It's the lower versions I feel bad for. why would you ever use a sentinel suit with FG? ADV heavies heavy better then a sentinel due to the extra high slot. How to make a Heavy Laser: 1.Take laser 2.Make it REALLY BIG 3.Give it to the heavy sobbing quietly in the corner.

But an AR should take down any infantry, that's what it's designed for... however I've still seen guys that are really good with the FG still snipe infantry from long ranges.
