Do the Minmatar have any themes, pop culture references or similarities between them and other factions from games and film?
Also if the Minmatar have any cool in game lore I would like to learn about it, Valklear and Kamieras are pretty cool, anything else?
E.G
Caldari I can see in stark Spartan sci fi exploratory marine style, games like Halo ODST, Natural Selection 2, Insterstellar Marines...
Gallente the more clean cut and divergent human soldiery of the future...more like Spartans from Halo, Mass Effect alliance Marines, etc....
Amarr speak to me of Space Marines and the more gothic and religious Imperium of Man from 40k

Nah I would have figured Gallente for Earth, Amarr for Fire, Min for Air, Caldari Water.

hackerzilla wrote:I would have to agree with deadly aztec, the minnies are a lot like the Helghast:
They were oppressed and their people were put into very harsh conditions. They try to be independent, (just like the matari are allies to the galente, but still try to act on their own) They sometimes have to resort to guerrilla warfare. They use experimental weapons as long as they work. XPLOSIONS!
On the contrary the ISA are more galente based, compared to the ammar who are the matari's enemies. I would say the matari are more steampunky, and a bit less fancy; more rust on their stuff, and more justified.
Long live the Helghast! Eff off the Matari are not steam punk. Steampunk is cool....matari not so much.

Amarr are totally the Imperium, though I gotta be honest the imperium is just a little cooler. The whole Neoclassical architecture meets steampunk with big ass guns backed up by OP melee weapons with freaking skulls everywhere is just too awesome.
That's basically my concept of the Amarr....except not dark or Gothic enough to be as cool as the Imperium of Man....
I wish Dust had an Adeptas Sorititas style faction...I would be all over that!
