Seriously, i don't like it when my damn squad leader puts a "protect" signal on me, prompting the greens to stay by my side when i'm trying to hide and snipe. They just draw attention. Or when a random blue just starts following me when i'm on my way to break they skull with a bullet...i feel your pain sleepy..

No...you don't. Sleepy was in the Imperfects and arguably the best sniper in this game since he started playing.

Just remember that whoever does the killing will lose standing, the whole point of doing FW. Weigh that between your desire for being a jackass and the ISK losses.
Also, I'm on Zan's side of things. Leave the damn snipers alone, if they are failing to do anything that's their own problem, at least they TRY. And if they ARE doing something, they're probably doing more than two or three other players could even if they don't end the match with a Ton'O'Killz(tm).

Firstly, Mr. Rowland, I too have been here since DUST's genesis, and although I have never had the pleasure of personally meeting Zan I had him on my team a few times and was the greater for it. You will never notice you have a good sniper, only notice that the enemy seems to be fewer in number.
As for Zan being Legendary... yea, Zan is Legendary. Capital and all that. Most of us just don't believe a sniper could be that good, and Zan doesn't exactly go around trumpeting it, so Zan is more of a Legend, less of a e-peener like most of the people you probably have heard of.
I know Zan doesn't need defending, but I did so want to attack this fool. I do apologize Zan. Carry on.

As a dedicated sniper I very much worry about all this talk of team killing us.
If I get blueberries hunting me I'm going to use militia fits. Then I'll kill very, very few redberries because the militia sniper rifles can't handle the well-armored or fast moving proto suits.
And I won't lose SP, loyalty points and ISK.
I won't have any room on the suit to carry the nanohives, drop uplinks and REs I drop on the field to help you flank the redberries.

If I ever get to factional warfare I hope if I'm busking at a spot for a clip or two with my sniper rifle that the next sniper is patient enought to wait or move on without TK'ing me.
Most fun way to counter snipe is scrambler pistol to the back of the head works on hacks to :).
I like sniping on occasion with schnapps its like fishing.
Turrent - the sound a tankers pants makes when he finds out the four swarm militia doing squats around him aren't AFK.

Funny, I was planning on making a throwaway alt just to run the militia sniper fit and purposefully make ppl F up and shoot meGǪ again and again.
Why? The comments about sniper hate in this thread alone warrant trolling as a sniper. Already FW has screwed up one role in addition to screwing up the whole idea of the game. I hear tanks are on their way out too due to ppl wanting to TK and steal them.
But that's ok. It is my goal to help this game burn! CCP just did me a big favor by hastening its demise.

BTW I'll do what I usually do and when up against a protostomp go sit on a hill with a sniper rifle waiting for the match to end like a smart little boy. Only now instead of not shooting at anything I'll shoot all the useless, stupid blue assaults that think:
1. The match is actually winnable.
and
2. Because now I won't be bored at others uselessness while easily baiting TKs.

A consistent history and you might get the account banned...
A simple nerf to the stealing of vehicles is banning a tker from entering using the new lock mechanics
