Instead of vanning a team killer from the game, suspend him for 15-30 minutes instead. Also decrease their standings. Locking someone out of fw for the whole day is stupid, and will likely cost you quite a few players.

I think you misunderstand. Team killing just reduces standings, when standings get too low, THEN you get banned. So as long as you're a good upstanding member of FW, you'll have built up enough standing to have a few accidental TKs and not suffer for it.

Nope.
If it were me a loss of standing with a faction into the negative would require hours of grinding or copious amounts of ISK to repair.
Consequence mate.
I don't care how short the attention span of a console player is they do not deserve to get away with wasting time and resources and get a 30min yellow card.

I actual think it may be a good way of acting as a deterrent top grievers. Kind of like putting a child in the corner and telling them to take a time out. They are acting like kids you know. That is if the are team killing for the sake of briefing someone.

Wouldn't we want FW to lose the players that kill their own teammates? It doesn't seem that hard to not kill your teammates unless you spam explosives or pack into hallways with ARs. |

You can't stop people form getting in your way of your gun and your explosives. You will get a hit every time they die and they clicky the punish button.

They should have a "boot" option, if someone jumps in front of your gun you can press the boot button and you'll take out your foot and sparta kick them out of the way. |

Nope, according to the page, kicks from the game will occur if you deal too much damage to allied players. Don't have to kill them. Damage dealt will accumulate and finally kick a player once the cap has been reached... or something like that.

I don't know, maybe I've already developed a habit of avoiding shooting through teammates to save ammo. It's not hard, and if they pass through your line of fire, just stop firing. Explosives are fine too, just don't spam grenades or mass drivers. Use them tactically. |

This will just make it easier for the trolls who are ACTUALLY going out of their way to intentionally team kill you. I say no to your suggestion and I vote to keep the incoming setup for FW 2.0.
CCP, thank you for hotfixing the knives. But please make sure they're at their full potential in 1.7.

Go and play PS2 and realise how easy it is to teamkill by accident.
You're ADSing down a hallway at head height (because you know, you want headshots) and a moron team mate bounces in front of you to get in a shot. Bam, 100% of your stream of bullets enters his head at 0m and he dies before you can even react and take your finger off the trigger. Happens to everyone a couple of times a day in PS2. |

It's not a ban from the game, it's a 1day ban from the game mode. Teamkill people too often and you're kicked from the match and given a 1day suspension from fw contracts.
Though I am tempted to grind up to high faction warfare standing, wait for an ally to call a vehicle in, shoot them with a shotgun then go joyriding in the free ride. |

Guess FW will be mostly Explosive free then, can't wait to play that ....
If you can't play without hurting teamates because you are an explosives spammer, maybe FW isnt something for you ...theres still regular contracts to be played, not like it changes anything for you....
